Tacobirria Mexican Fast Food — Restaurant in Beverly

I will not give my money to this establishment again until they rectify the discrepancy between what they’re advertising and what’s actually served. Multiple people now have complained about the restaurant marketing “empanadas,” (meaning plural - more than one) with a photo of a basket of empanadas (4). Upon receipt of the order, we’ve all only received 1. It is misleading and quite frankly a rip-off once delivery fees and such are tallied up. Had I known I wasn’t going to get what was advertised, I would’ve never given them that much money.

When I received my order, I called to express my concern and the only response given was “sorry about that.” I encouraged them to change the verbiage and images to represent the product and again only got a pacifying, “yea, sorry about that.”

The lack of consistency between the marketing and delivery, coupled with the subpar response from the staff has really turned me off from this establishment. Seeing that other people have also complained about this same issue and nothing has been done demonstrates just how much the customer isn’t valued. They’re here to take your money and that’s it. I purchased a Mexican sandwich and fries today, and it was a very disappointing experience. The bread was hard, clearly old (tasted like it had been sitting for weeks), and it was dirty from smashed avocado. The fries were stale, hard, and inedible.

When I called the store, the young lady at the front was very polite and apologetic. She explained she had to check with her boss and offered me either a credit or a remake of the sandwich. I declined because if they can’t get a basic sandwich and fries right, I don’t feel confident trying anything else.

She later provided me with the manager’s phone number, but when I called him, he was extremely rude. He never once apologized and simply told me to bring the food back if I wanted a refund. His dismissive attitude was unprofessional, and when I mentioned leaving a review, he told me “he didn’t care and just a review”

The staff member at the front was respectful and tried to help, but the quality of food and the owner complete lack of customer service make it clear I won’t...

I would love nothing more than to see a small business succeed here in Beverly, but I have to be honest with my review. We were so excited to see this place open and read the great reviews. We ordered takeout on 10/15 and the service was quick and easy. The space is really cute inside and staff was friendly. We got the chips and guac, carnitas torta and birria Burrito.

The guac was awful, pureed till it was almost a liquid and had no seasoning at all. The carnitas torta had potential but the carnitas itself had what I'm assuming is bits of the skin still on it. It was completely covered in these little white rubbery pieces which I will have a photo of to show. Whatever it is it made the whole thing inedible. The birria burrito was decent but took about 4 bites of pure rice till you got any meat. We also got the hibiscus drink was a thick syrup.

I would be willing to try this place again and give them another chance. I'm sorry to leave a disappointing review and hope other customers have a better experience...
