Our family has a silly lil tradition of pizza on Friday nights (I think we started that when our five kids were entering teenage years so we could keep them around on Fridays) We will be relocating to this area soon and stayed the night but wanted to try out some local pizza. Here we come Ugo’s Pizzaland! We stopped in on a Friday night, and man alive did that place a’get a’hoppin’! I was amazed (happily) at the amount of people in and out of that place while we waited for our order to go! Owners Tim and Gerri were there taking orders and working the crowd. They must surely know most everyone because they were recognized and super friendly to everyone (even us yet we were clearly newbys!) We we’re hopeful that we would be able to land a new favorite place so we tried a few different things! The sampler appetizer (fried ravioli, cheese, sticks, teriyaki wings and sweet red chili wings), two personal 7in. pizzas (canadian bacon and pineapple, then- pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and onions) a small portion of spaghetti and meatballs, and 2 cannolis. The appetizers were delightful, although there was a minor glitch with the mozzarella sticks… whoever was cooking those lost track of time, and they were barely warm, let alone crispy. The fried ravioli with similar to what you would find anywhere in the area, not spectacular, but if you’ve never had it before it is a great place to start. The teriyaki wings were delicious and well flavored, and the sweet red chili wings had just a slight kick to them but were very delightful. The Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza was rather bland for pizza, but very typical for Canadian bacon and pineapple. (I liked it more than my husband, and I’ll order that again) The pizza sauce is a lovely flavor, and the sauce ratio was spot on. The pepperoni. Sausage, mushrooms, onions had a robust flavor that my husband loves. The spaghetti with meatballs, although not on our typical pizza menu, had some good sauce and delicious meatballs. The cannolis were pretty dang good, and a great addition to any Italian night! (Definitely treat yourself to those!) Overall experience… Solid 9 outta 10! (We WILL be back!) (I am also including pictures of their full menu...
Read moreGreat pizza. Lots of other choices on the menu but I'm still stuck on the pizza. I plan to try the pasta and subs someday... Very nice and attentive staff. Clean and comfortable, casual atmosphere. Worth the drive if you don't live in Bevier. This is some of the best pizza in the northern half of Missouri. (I can't speak for the southern half. Hook and Ladder in Hollister is the only pizza I've tried south of Lake Ozark. It was very good, but I don't think better than Ugo's.) I like thin crust supreme. Like eating slices of heaven. My son goes for hand-tossed pepperoni. Also very delicious. If you prefer deep dish pizza you may need to order bread sticks to get your dough on. But the cheese is a meltilicious blend with a crusty edge. The sauce is complementary to the flavor profile of the cheese and the crust. Can't say enough good things about Ugo's pizza. Try it. You won't be...
Read moreThis is the best pizza joint around. Family friendly, great place. The salad bar is simple but so fresh, not an afterthought, real food done simply. My personal favorite pizza is the bacon cheeseburger, it uses a mixture of ketchup and mustard as the "sauce" on the pizza. It works!! The Ugo is made like the St louis style pizzas with a mixture of mozzarella and provel cheese on a thin crust. My family also really loves the chicken alfredo, using alfredo sauce as the base of this pizza. Pasta dishes come out cheesy and hot, the cheesy garlic bread is also a must. You can order a bucket of beers, mixing up the brands everyone likes. Service is always fantastic, the owners love to mosey through the dining room, chatting with folks about their meals, they're families, their day. Parking is...
