This is one of those lovely little places that you don't want to share, but you want to let them know they're appreciated -- and besides, it seems like enough people know about it already. It's like the ultimate general store, serving up good food, good views, and good feels. It has all the Maine staples, lobster rolls, chowdah, and absolutely delicious blueberry cobbler. Oh, and some ridiculously good balsamic tomatoes. I don't know if they were local, organic, heirloom, or none of the above, but I honestly don't know if I've ever had better tomatoes outside of any place with the name Robuchon in it, and even then the ones at Goldthwaite's might've been just as good. Order some up from the friendly crew, grab a six pack (or a bottle of Puligny-Montrachet or Billecart-Salmon if you're feeling fancy) from the fridge, take it out back and enjoy the view. Doesn't get much better than that.

My word, this place is straight out of a book. I’ve dreamed of going to Maine most of my life. Growing up in Canada and the Midwest, it just seemed so exotic. Fresh lobster, sweeping Atlantic views, sand dunes, and east coast charm. I conjured up these visions of what it must be like, so I was absolutely blown away when I pulled up to Pool Lobster. It’s even better than what I imagined. Add in some incredible lobster rolls, blueberry pie, and the previously mentioned sweeping views, and that’s what Pool Lobster is. I could sit on the back patio all day. It’s stunning, peaceful, and is the absolute essence of a vacation in Maine. Top notch service, great food, and the kind of slow down vibes that we all need once in awhile. Go here and stay as long as you can.

My family has been vacationing in Maine since 1978. It is always a pleasure to reconnect over the years with places that are close to our hearts. Biddeford Pool is no exception. Last night, and tonight, we enjoyed our meal at your restaurant. From the clam chowders, to the steamers (which I particularly like because there was a time when you could get the clams yourself - 1980), the excellent Crab Cake Sandwich and especially the blueberry pie. What a pleasure to be able to eat outside and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Thanks to our American friends. Once again, we had a very nice vacation. Louis.

Tasty but expensive with barely a smile, hi, acknowledgement from the folks who work there. Maybe they were having a bad day & maybe seafood has gotten more expensive then I realize but can't say I'm thrilled w/my experience. $50 for two sandwiches & a cup of chowder seems steep to me. One sandwich was a Market Price Lobster roll so I get that would be more expensive, second sandwich was $14 & cup of chowder $7. All was tasty but sizes small, so a small MP Lobster roll musta been about $25 and the rest tax and that's w/no sides or drinks. Great views out back but U have to serve yourself and no drinking allowed out back so we took it away & drank our own drinks somewhere else. Can't imagine how much more expensive it coulda been if we got a beer or wine with our meal. I get it small family business in a small summer seaside town is hard. Just sharing my experience so others can avoid the same...

Very disappointed, for three reasons: 1) the Fish and Chips are essentially fish nuggets on top of a cup of fries. I have never seen Fish and Chips served like this, and for $13.50, with perhaps $1 worth of haddock in nugget form, I was insulted and astounded you would pass this off as Fish and Chips. 2) After waiting about 20 mins for our order, I went inside to find our tray sitting there (the pager did not work). As a result one of my daughter's side orders, the fries, were stone cold from, and starting to harden up. 3) Our bill was $53, the price for a 1-1/4 pound lobster and two sides (fries and house salad); a half dozen fish nuggets over fries, a bottle of water and a lemonade. On the plus side, the staff of young gals have a great attitude and the views of the water...
