Kelly's Bleachers Big Bend — Restaurant in Big Bend

2022 post. We go here quite a bit. Pizza is great, burgers are great, fish fry is usually great but last night we had terrible service and food was not good. We all had fish fry’s. They must of changed vendors because it was a less quality cod and it was soggy and not cooked long enough. On top of that my husband ordered an extra tarter sauce that they charge for. Dinner comes…. no extra tarter sauce. We asked again, it never came. He checked on us and gave us boxes for the left over soggy fish. I said the tarter sauce never came please don’t charge for it. It took another 20 minutes to get his attention with my credit card. Never got the bill and when I did we were charged for the extra tarter. It will be a long time before we come back. The waiter was the one with the man bun.

Update: 5/16/2025 Thought we would give another try tonight. Had a young kid come to the table with nothing to write down the order. Only two of us this time. We order. I specifically order NO MAYO on my mushroom Swiss burger and he repeated it. No mayo? I said correct. My husband orders the perch fry. The kid comes back 30 seconds later and asks my husbands order again. It wasn’t that busy but the food took a bit. I get my burger take a bite, taste like there is mayo, can’t tell with the white Swiss cheese. Take another bite and yep it’s mayo. I just couldn’t, that combo doesn’t work for me. He comes over I hand him the plate and say I told you no mayo. Just take it back, no I don’t want to wait another 20 minutes. My husband said I have never seen you send back food. I said ya well memory is not this kids strong point he needs a note book. Guess it will be a long time before we back again. Oh...

Went in last week friday. Granted was busy and a packed late afternoon. Ordered two fish fries to go. Wait near the bar so when it came out I would be right near bar and ready to go. Waited a fair amount of time. Noticed two people sitting at bar received thier order and I ordered before them. That happens too. Waited a bit more and asked a waitress walking by about my order. She said she would look into it. Well as it turned out my order was clear across the bar area in a huge warming box. One woukd think that if you order at the bar the person who ever that is in the back would bring it the the person so they could hand to me or who ordered. I let it go since it was a week ago but wanted to make sure this. Ever happened to anyone again. Who wants their food kept warm and thank goodness I asked in time the nice waitress who happened to walk by. Sorry I never got her name. So today at 1pm I thought I would call to talk with a manager to tell my story to again make sure they can fix the issue. The woman who answered phone said they are busy and call back another day. All I asked was to talk with a manager about a issue I had the other day. ...

Was just here this evening for fish fry, i do like the fish but tonight was dissapointing. First i ordered a 2 piece fish fry and also a side salad. The dinners came we were expecting the salads before the meal but it came all at the same time! No fries chips or anything just 2 little pieces of fish! Never brought coleslaw or the bread had to ask! Needless to say when the bill came we were charged for the salads..i questioned this seeing we didn't get anything but fish. Well i was told v you only get one side. I said you didn't ask when i said fish fry so i guess i thought it came with fries..he said no, chips. I thank said but i didn't get chips either. He said cause i wanted a salad. I said Ok. Than why am i charged for a salad. He said there is a upcharge. I said well i ordered a fish fry and i would also like a side salad i never said no chips salad instead. Now my husband ordered a fish fry and he wasn't asked anything but got chips. Ive eaten there at least a dozen times before AND have never had this issue. Its good, not going back 2, 2 piece fish fry 1, 3 piece fish a kids grill cheese 1 chocolate milk no other drinks 60 bucks.....
