Sugar Creek — Restaurant in Big Lake

My friend and I are a couple of old ladies who decided to get out of town today due to cabin fever. I looked at Google Maps, Big Lake, checked restaurants. Found Sugar Creek. Read the menu. Looked at the photos and we decided to drive about 80 miles to eat lunch at Sugar Creek. It was well worth it! Delicious Chicken Fried Steak with all the proper sides. My friend said her Chicken Tenders were delicious as well. The fabulous dessert, Strawberry Fried Cheesecake, was fantastic. After tasting it, my friend ordered one to take home to her School Teacher daughter. It was a trip to an unknown restaurant that proved to be a wonderful place with very friendly staff and deeelicious food! We highly recommend it. Worth the trip. We plan to go...

Such a nice little place, Im from out of town and I went with Sugar Creek based on their reviews, and it was for sure the right place to go, no wait, got a table right away and they serve the tea out of a Mason jar that was awesome. I couldn't decide what I wanted cause it all sounded good, but I settled for the black n bleu burger, and my goodness was that a good burger. Perfectly seasoned perfectly cooked you could definitely taste that it was good beef too, and the size of it was on point I mean the burger was so big and good and I ate it so fast I couldn't hardly finish but half of my fries, which were generous portion as well. Overall it was a very good little place and if I'm ever back in Big Lake I know where I'm eating at. Keep up...

The food was delicious. We tried the "Oilfield Trash" appetizer..how they get their rojos to come out so crispy I don't know..(most places they are soggy and limp) then they pile them high with cheese and onion and green chille..YUMMM. we then moved on to a "Sugar Creek Burger" which was beautiful BTW and "Chicken Fried Chicken" that was moist and crispy served with fresh greenbeans sautéed with a bit of garlic. The entire meal was a delight. Large glasses of tea and while we did not order any they have a wide variety of sweets. The table next to us ordered a fried cheesecake that looked heavenly. The servers were very friendly the atmosphere was nice. Would definitely recommend and will be going back myself next time...
