So disappointed.
This is the second time in a month that this place has absolutely disgusted me. Less than 3 weeks ago I came in with a friend for dinner. We went straight to the host stand and waited at least 15 minutes to be sat. I understand that it can be busy, but it was completely dead in there. (9/10 of the staff are children, and it shows.) About 6 staff members walked past us and saw us standing there waiting to be sat, and kept walking. Not a smile, or hello or anything. We ended up leaving in disgust for the absolutely terrible service.
Fast forward to tonight. I called and placed an order for takeout. I even waited an extra 10 minutes to go pick up the food because I know they are God awfully slow. I walked in and once again, dead inside. Not only did I not see a guest, I didn’t see a single staff member. All of a sudden, I hear a girl’s voice coming from the kitchen. She was extremely loud, almost at a yell, on FaceTime with some boy. Not only was she screaming, but she was complaining about how she has to do all of the closing work and cleaning at the end of the night because the whole kitchen is run by children and they “always leave early and never help clean up”. Good thing I was literally the only person in there because everyone else would’ve heard how much she clearly “loves” her coworkers at FULL. VOLUME. Anyway, after about five minutes of her cackling, basically yelling into her phone, and handling food with bare hands, she finally sees me. She then, once again, yells and laughs “OMG someone is here! One sec!” Umm, yeah!! Someone IS here! “Someone” has been sitting here waiting for you to do your job. She finally set her phone down in front of me and said “$20.86” without even saying hi or looking at me and takes my $50 bill, gives me change & walks away from me to go get her phone back without even asking if I wanted a receipt, napkins, or anything. Didn’t say a word to me. Not have a good night or come back soon, nothing. It would’ve been a real bummer if I did want a receipt because whoever was on FaceTime was CLEARLY more important than her doing her job. (My takeout bag was FULL of grease. Literally pooling at the bottom). One thing I can say for certain is if you like being treated awfully, ignored, and wasting your time, this is definitely the place to go!! Absolutely will not...
Read moreWe happened upon Angelina’s thanks to the Blue Water Org.’s wet your whistle challenge. Right in downtown Ubly, Suzanne and her son have created the cutest Italian restaurant inside a rustic cabin you could ever imagine. Her son brews beer as Hoco Brewery on the lodge side of the restaurant while Suzanne and staff prepare homemade Italian dishes in the kitchen. Our party all started with the homemade sausage and tortellini soup, which came with a fresh baked loaf of Parmesan sprinkled bread and a side of butter. The ribs and wing combo and Calzone also showed up at our table. Every bite was full of flavor, tender, and delicious. They even have ricotta for a true calzone! We enjoyed these so much that we jumped right into eating and forgot to take pictures. Drinks and the beer were also well crafted and delicious, all served by friendly, attentive staff and a check in by...
