Look, if you're looking for some local black owned businesses to support, add these to the list @bigdawgsbessemer and @cams_lemonade. First big dawgs: Good food @ decent prices and good fast service. You can't beat it. I ordered Champ burger and the Snoop sasuage Dog. Both were good and made fresh to order in under 20 min. Very straightforward menu. Accepts cash and cash app, but other payment options may be available. I spent <20$ on food. Cams lemonade was delicious. It hit the spot with the burger I ordered the Hulk flavor; now I wish I had gotten more. Most definitely will be on the lookout for more. It was sweet and cold and it tasted like it had some pineapple in there 😋. Lemonade was about 5$ .

My first time eating a sausage from Big dawgs I must say it was pretty good, however my second experience I was quite turned off. I’ve suffered from food poisoning in the past so I’m pretty strict when it comes to proper Sanitation especially while dealing with food.. As i waited for my spouse to place an order, I watched him take payment/money from customers and then proceeded with cooking food all with the same gloves. That was not a good look and for that I will probably not support this business again. Also I wasn’t to fond of the way the food is served. I would suggest investing in takeout containers.

We ordered the Rottie and the Big One all the way spent $45. No prices were posted but I've been stalking this vendor for a while. Burgers were cooked fresh to order so there was a wait. I had to split the big one as it was too much to eat in one sitting. My son said it was too much sauce but he ate the rest of my burger and the peppers an onions (which he thinks he doesn't like) and my friend said it was perfect better than Travis. Truck is normally out during the day 11a-2p. Owner was personable. Good burger for a splurge. We will try Big Dawgs again to try the all beef or all turkey sausages.

Food Review: BigDawgBessemer

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10)

My recent visit to BigDawgBessemer was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable culinary adventure. The highlight of the experience, however, was undoubtedly James. His down-to-earth demeanor and genuine passion for food made the entire visit feel personal and engaging.

James has a unique ability to connect with his guests, enhancing the dining experience in a way that goes beyond just serving food. He shared insights about the dishes, making me appreciate the flavors even more. His charisma and enthusiasm are infectious, and it’s clear he loves what he does.

The food itself was phenomenal! Each dish was a testament to the idea that “there’s a difference between eating and grubbing.” The flavors were bold, the presentation was beautiful, and every bite was a celebration of culinary creativity. I left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied and eager to return.

If you’re looking for a place that serves delicious food and offers an experience filled with warmth and personality, I highly recommend BigDawgBessemer! Be sure to follow James on social media and subscribe to his channel for more food adventures. This is one spot you won’t...

Booked BigDawgs Bessemer for a faculty food truck day at Hueytown Middle School on 10-16-24. Booked him last year (09-20-23) as well and there was no problem and the faculty/staff enjoyed the food. This year he did not show up! It was confirmed in August 2024. I followed up with him last week and this week to confirm and he said nothing about not being able to do the event today. (I can see that he has seen my DM's.) Totally unprofessional. No call. No nothing. No common courtesy or decency. No opportunity/time to try to get another food truck. Last month we had a food truck in which the owner had a family emergency on the day he needed to serve us. He got a replacement food truck for us. That is respect. That is honorable. Don't depend/trust BigDawgsBessemer for an event. Today is living testimonial of that truth. You do not build a business that will last with this type...
