Anchor Bay Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Biron

Went here today 8/15 around 3 pm. When we arrived there was no signage to indicate whether or not seating yourself was appropriate so we waited about 5-6 minutes for a wait staff to see us just for them to say that we could sit anywhere. There was no room outdoors to we sat inside by the window. I noticed that shortly after we sat several tables freed up outside but no one cleared and cleaned them for several minutes… not once but twice I saw couples waiting for an outdoor table just standing outside being ignored by passing staff until both times they sat at dirty tables and waited for them to be cleared. The sampler basket we ordered did not come with chicken tenders or jalapeño poppers like the menu said, we asked why and the waiter simply told us that they no longer had that item…WHY WAS IT ON THE MENU THEN?? and if he knew that upon ordering why did he not inform us? There was no apology included in his statement. Finally the food was acceptable but I would not recommend for the price. We left the restaurant after paying, when we got to the car (maybe 20 feet away from the restaurant) we realized we forgot the boxes of leftovers. I literally RAN back to the door to see out table was cleared I even asked the staff member (our waiter) if it was thrown out…he had an attitude at that question and said he “thinks so” and then went about his day. I found this funny since there were other tables both indoor and outdoor still to be cleaned yet our table with a clearly forgotten box was cleaned within minutes of us getting up… I am not sure what that all means, but I would NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant and bar. The food was mediocre at best and it was very expensive. The service was slow and filled with attitude. Anchor bay was highly recommended to me for Friday fish I've never been there and was not impressed at all had reservations for 5:00 placed our order around 5:15 at 6:00 I asked someone about how much longer it was going to be to get our food she asked our waitress and rudely came back and said you had a large order which I understood that we had 6 in our group but that was no excuse being everyone around us got seated and there order taken and ate before we got our food one of them groups being 4 kids and 5 adults but I was told my group was large with only 6 and then the waitress brought the food to the table at 6:20 and it was cold the baked potato wouldn't even melt the butter so I said something to the waitress and she was very apologetic and said she would take it back to the kitchen and 2 mins later she brought it back and after that the baked fish was very rubbery after being microwaved very disappointed got the bill and it was 52.00 dollars for me and my wife I asked for the manager to explain the bad experience we had and the "head waitress" came up and was like what can I do I had explained how the food was cold and thay took my plate to the kitchen and just tossed it in the microwave and she sated that is a lie I was back there when it came back and thay made you a new plate i didn't agree with her because my fish was like rubber and the bread was was hot when it came back out and got very hard after it cooled down and it was a very bad experience she said the best I can do is give you guys a free dessert and we had said no thanks and she just said okay then and ran off and My mother was trying to tell her no that her my father and sister and wife were diabetics but she wouldn't give her the time of day and quickly just ran off like she didn't care this was the first time ever going there and...

First time visiting this far north in Wisconsin! Me and 7+ others went on a pontoon ride while we waited (the place was packed and there was at least 1-2 hours wait). A local country music band was playing when we came and stopped sometime after we left, and through the whole thing there were at least 50 people outside watching them play, multiple dancing at a time. There were multiple tables outside; however I don't know if the restaurant serves food outside.

Waiting for our food was okay, about average for sit-in restaurants, and the waiter was polite and relatively quick with our drinks. When we got inside, me and my brother had alligator on a sandwich with some type of Cajun sauce (I forget the exact name of the item) and it tasted wonderful. A bit pricey at $13 or so, but then again you're paying for the views and the music when you eat here. Unfortunately, our total bill was around $200 for 8-9 people, but regardless I think the experience was worth it. I would recommend this restaurant to those looking for a good time (and able to handle the wait time), but be willing to spend 15-20 dollars per person for meals alone, and maybe 10 more for appetizers or alcoholic beverages. If the prices were a bit cheaper, I might've rated this restaurant...
