Like I said before what a hidden gem of a cafe! Everything is freshly made on a daily basis from scratch. Mary the owner along with family open on Fathers day 2020 hard work and preservation they are making it thru the pandemic when many small businesses had to close their doors that has to tell you something about the food and owner and staff of this little gem! We will be back for lunch thanks Mary and Staff for all your hard work and to Chris thanks for sharing some of your home town experiences with us you are truly a sweetheart. This restaurant is now called Hungry Duck, and if you want the best French fries EVER, you have to eat here. Not only that, the power went out in the whole town of Blackduck and the owner, Mary, instead of turning us away, cooked us hamburgers and fries in the dark!! We were starving and so grateful. This hometown cafe is small but clean and neat. Oh, and the hamburgers and grilled buns were delicious, too! Thank you, Mary! Your lunch...

We were traveling and hungry..this little storefront place was a diamond in the rough, reminicent of an old Mom and Pop diner. Very nice menu selections, even had "poutine" a Canadian favorite! There were a number of locals having lunch who kept the place lively and pleasant. The food was excellent and hot! Service was wonderful and the cook checked with us to see how everything was.
