Slice Problems – Disappointing Experience
I recently ordered a pizza through the Slice app and requested it be left on my porch bench so I could refrigerate it for use the next day. I heard the delivery driver walking on the bench, and when I checked, the pizza was lying face down on the porch. I was in a meeting at the time and had to leave it for later.
By the time I returned, Pizza Express was closed. I ended up ordering a second pizza and expected the first would be refunded once I reported the issue. I left feedback in the app—no response. I followed up with customer service and was offered a 20% off coupon (about $8) on a $40 ruined order instead of a refund.
That’s just not acceptable. I’ve spent thousands at Pizza Express over the years, but apparently, that loyalty doesn’t matter. They’ve made it clear that customer retention isn’t a priority.

   Read moreI called in an order for pickup and was told 20-25 minutes. I show up a good 25 minutes later and the people at the counter look for my order briefly and tell me a few more minutes. After another 15 minutes of waiting with my pregnant wife and young kid in the car I ask the people at the counter about how much longer because it’s been about 40 minutes since I called. The cook this time looks around and my order is sitting on top of the stove. I sat there tho whole time for nothing and all they did was offer a brief apology, no discount or effort to ease my inconvenience. Also, one of the items I ordered was a chicken burrito and when I called the girl who took the order said beef. I said no chicken. She repeated the order and said chicken. So when we get home, the burrito was incorrectly made with beef. Absolutely horrible service.

   Read moreOrdered weekly for delivery for months. No problems. All of a sudden, our debit card wouldn't go through, so we gave him a different one. That went through and we got our delivery. In the meantime, the original card DID go through and we were charged twice. Funny thing is, one was $29 and the other one $39. We included a $5 tip. I called to explain we were charged twice and he told me I had to bring in bank statements to prove it. What???? Couldn't they see in their billing what happened? I have never been in the place. Only ordered delivery....
