We were really looking forward to it since friend reported fantastic people own it. Menu looks great, but many items were unavailable. Kids in shop were sweet and apologetic however, pilot was off on grill and took much longer than expected, even though the items that came out cold (hash browns were nasty cold breaded potato chunks). I'm told not to eat beef, pork or lamb so ordered a chicken wrap...Buffalo- but after more than 30 minutes of waiting, we were told that wasn't available.. so swapped to a grilled wrap and asked for honey mustard. As food was eventually being brought, my daughters was cold, it didn't even seem warmed in a microwave. Mine eventually made it to the table, but I couldn't even eat a 1/4 of it before feeling discomfort. We weren't upset with being there way longer than expected because we were enjoying our table conversation but must have heard dozens of apologies, and still when we needed soda refills, he mentioned that's an upcharge... (what? You've got to be kidding?!) No one felt comfortable in complaining even though we had to still ask for thr honey mustard, one of our friends needed to request the veggies for her cheeseburger.. nothing appeared even warm, no smell from grilling or anything. Didn't hear sizzling from the open kitchen. Since I have MS, my body reacts I guess a bit more to improper food. So my daughter wasn't surprised that I had to pull over on our drive home and vomit whatever I had taken in. When we got home, I unwrapped the wrap and looked at the chicken, it didn't look fully cooked, but had deep brown like from a cold grill that had beef gristle left behind and scraped into it, all the signs of cross contamination suggesting to me that had I tried to ingest anymore, it would have ended with me not just vomiting but having another er trip for anaphylaxis- which truly terrifies my daughter. As it is all I can think of is trying to get typed because thry can't fix what thry don't know is broke and going to sleep .. I have no more energy and the chicken honestly looked too old to even give to my dogs. Can't do it again so best of luck, since again, I was really looking forward...
Read moreMy husband and I drove 90 minutes to come to Patchy’s for their taco pizza. When we got there, Danny informed us that his shipment of refried beans (one of the ingredients that makes the pizza so good) had not come in. I told him how far we’d driven just for his taco pizza. He actually went to the store and bought refried beans to make our pizza. He said it wouldn’t taste exactly like his because the beans were different but it was really good. And, oh, the crust… The fact that he was willing to go that far out of his way to make his customers happy just doesn’t happen anymore. He even remembered us from two years ago when we were just stopping in town for the night. Thanks, Danny and Lance, for making the drive worth every minute. Tricia and...
Read moreThis was our first time at Patchy's Pizzaria, and more, as we are traveling in our RV through the different states. Unfortunately, we were unable to order pizza because the ovens decided to go on strike. The owner, Danny, was most apologetic. We were able to get some great sandwiches though! Danny came into the restaurant area and spoke to all of us diners, making sure that we were all satisfied with what we had ordered. We LOVE getting to talk to the locals about different things, wherever we go, and Sunday was no different. We had a really good time with everyone. Danny is so friendly, personable, and likeable. We definitely will come back to Patchy's, if our RV has us driving through Gerald, MO again. Try it, I think...
