Not perfect by any means, most fast food restaurants have their flaws but the Dairy Queen of Bloomfield is not a nostalgia trip for many who grew up in this town but also serves up decent food and some of the beast ice cream around.
Pros:
-Decent food, might not be the best and may even come back incorrect but you can't be too hard on them over it as it is a fast food joint. Though it's definitely worth noting serving up an incorrect order isn't very common.
-Best ice cream you'll ever have at a restaurant, only thing that compares imo would be Wendy's frosties but those are one trick ponies. DQ has various ice cream related treats especially when you look at their Blizzard menu items
-Positive environment, whenever you walk in you can see people engaging in conversations and everyone enjoying their time employees, and customers alike.
-Very clean environment, the employees there do a very good job when it comes to the hygiene of the restaurant, I've never had a moment of when I walked in and felt like it was dirty.
Cons:
-Some items are the menu are ridiculously overpriced. For example, there's a menu item "Cheese Curds" for like $11 or 12 you get a small little thing of those which aren't even that good because they're frozen. It's a little outrageous but there's plenty of other items on the menu that are at an acceptable cost to make up for that.
-Suffers from common issues fast food restaurants face but that's to be expected and doesn't take too much away from...
Read moreWhen we walked in the door, there was a sign that the ice cream machine was down. We ordered our food, got our drinks while we were waiting. The pop was so flat, we told the boy that brought our food. He just said, are you kidding me? Then nothing else was mentioned. We could here them making Blizzards right and left while we were eating. So after we were done, my 2 yr old grandson wanted ice cream, so we stood there for prob 5 minutes waiting for one of the 3 people to acknowledge us. They were too busy talking among theirselves while a couple of people were making blizzards for 2 teenage girls. The both had camisole tops on, one was leaning over the counter of course and the other one was just standing there waiting for their ice cream. When my grandsons mom asked if they could make a blizzard, one of the boys said that the machine was off and on again. They had just made a bunch of them, he asked another boy if they could make one and he said NO leave it off. Now, i guarantee that if she had leaned across the counter w her boobs hanging out like the other girl, she would of walked out w a blizzard. There were too many young people in there and we never seen an adult… We have never had service like...
Read moreDrive threw is a waste of time unless you want your order wrong and to be missing items that you paid extra for. I'm over it! This place has gone to hell in a hand basket in the service department. I literally roll my eyes now when the kids scream for dairy queen because I know the food with be cold, old, wrong, and missing items I've paid extra for. Tonight was another experience of over salted fries and missing items I paid for. Because these people are one of the few places in town for food they've stopped caring when completing orders because they know people will come back due to lack of options. I've drove home on multiple occasions with wrong food just to come back for a correction and be given the 3rd degree by a teenager. Basically if you want to eat here I understand it's better then driving to linton for food in a pinch but you're always playing Russian roulette with what's going to be given to you. The only thing this place has going for it is the...
