Taste 778 — Restaurant in Bloomfield

I recently had the misfortune of ordering takeout from Tasty 778, and I must say, it was an absolutely dreadful experience. Not only was the food subpar, but the attitude of the employee left a sour taste in my mouth. I feel compelled to warn everyone about the appalling service and advise against ever returning to this establishment.

From the moment we walked in to pick up our order, it was clear that the employee had a nasty attitude. We politely greeted them and expressed our gratitude for their service, only to be met with a dismissive glare and a snide remark. It was as if we had committed a grave offense by simply being customers.

As we waited for our food, the employee's unpleasant demeanor continued to worsen. They seemed completely disinterested in assisting us and made it abundantly clear that our presence was an inconvenience to them. It was shocking to witness such unprofessional behavior in a supposedly customer-oriented establishment.

To add insult to injury, when we finally received our order and thanked the employee, they had the audacity to say, "You're not welcome." I was taken aback by this blatant display of rudeness and lack of basic courtesy. It was a clear indication that customer satisfaction was the least of their concerns.

Now, let's talk about the food. It was nothing short of disappointing. The flavors were bland, and the presentation was lackluster. It felt as though no effort had been put into preparing the dishes. It's safe to say that the quality of the food matched the abysmal service we received.

I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of Tasty 778. The rude and unwelcoming attitude of the employee, coupled with the mediocre food, makes this restaurant a place to avoid at all costs. This is my 2nd time coming to Taste 778 in Bloomfield CT. My first experience was great i placed my order my food was cooked excellent! The fish Dinner (whiting) was amazing the Salmon was to die for! My only problem with taste 778 is the LACK OF Respect they have for their customers!!

Today 10/16/2021 (Saturday) i enjoyed the food so much i wanted to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. So i walk in not paying attention to anything (was looking at phone) so when i walk in.. I’m m greeted with a Mask being handed to me. No words just a mask so i said thank you because i left my in my car simple. I grabbed a water and noticed on the pay screen that is said “mask $2.00) i said you are charging me for a mask when i could of went to my car to grab my mask.. the cashier says “that our rule” so i look and see “no mask no service” which I'm okay with but don't hand me a mask as if it free and then charge me for it and over charge at that. So i stated “i could of went in got my mask from my car you could of said that i needed a mask.. but instead you try to give me one an charge me” the Owner who is in the back cooking proceeds to say “if you weren't so ignorant and read the big sign it say no mask no service”. Thats when i proceeded it not kind to call me ignorant when im the customer getting food from your establishment knowing im a food critic but im not going to go back and forth with her id rather let everyone understand yes the food is GREAT solid (4/5)! But the RESPECT, MANNERS, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE (1/5)!! Thats the type of owner who seems like she hold grudge and when back in her establishment food will not taste the same.

I went to pick up a Doordash, upon arriving another order from the same location came through so I accepted it. I entered and it was packed as usual (no problem) The lady behind the counter asked who I was picking up for and I showed her. One order was ready and she said the other one is being prepared (no problem) She continued taking care of customers and filling orders...her and I were having a communication issue bcuz she was wearing a mask and I suffer from hearing loss due to a medical issue...after a few minutes I asked the lady behind the counter how much longer (bcuz I wanted to grab my other phone out of my car) That's when this bald head lady wearing a faded turquoise had yell out the window "it ain't ready yet,he just gotta wait" with the nastiest attitude. I told her ugly ass, I just wanted to go to my car to grab my phone that's why I asked...she rebutted with You keep asking how long like we gonna move faster or something...mind you money was paid already and I was just picking up. She then said (once my order was being bag)..."Ya food ready, take and get out" This is the reason I stopped coming over 5 yrs ago...they're more rude than the Jamaican spot (yall know)...it's disgusting when you try to support your own and get treated as such...and like I said, I was only picking up. I did inform both customers why it took so long and how rude she was...One customer said she knew the owner and was gonna mention it. The other said he only ordered bcuz he was hungry at work but usually doesn't go there.
