Flacos House — Restaurant in Bloomingdale

Please let me preface this with the fact I so much want to love this place!!! But eater's beware! Within the past month, I went to 2 different locations. Earlier this month, I went to the location on 204 in Savannah (next to Harley Davidson). I ordered 3 beef tacos. The beef was way over cooked and the flour tacos were so hard, when I went to fold them, they broke. Way over priced and don't expect a free side of chips and salsa. Oh yeah, on a side note, they don't serve beer. No big deal. I thought maybe it was this location why the food was so poor. So, two days ago, I decided to go to a different location (HWY 80 Bloomingdale) Next to Randy Woods Guitars. Bad, bad, bad. They had a 4 taco special for $9.95. Ok, I really only wanted 3 but an extra taco for the Special would be cool. I ordered the 4 beef/carne asada, flour tacos. I was told each beef taco would cost .50 more per taco. So I decided to pay the extra for 2 of the beef taco's and get the other 2 chicken taco's instead. Pork was also available. As expected, no free side of chips and salsa. I decided to order a side. In addition, this location served bottled beer! Bonus. However, they only had 1 Mexican beer that I did not like. So I bought a Bud Light with a lime. So I sat at my location. They called my number #7 after maybe 15 minutes, which I thought was good. I sat back down and asked where the chips and salsa were? They apologized and gave me the order. 1/2 of the chips tasted like cardboard ($2.25) by the way... So I dived into the beef taco first. Unfortunately the beef was way over cooked again and the chicken was dry. I paid $17.33 for myself at lunch. Like I read on line reviews $. Try $$$. If Flacos is paying attention, Kelly was great! SERVICE & FOOD GOING DOWNHILL FAST This has been my go to place for a few years now. One of the only places in Georgia you can get authentic street tacos and other menu items that remind me of California Mexican food. In the last six months, we’ve tried it three times and each time I get more annoyed and upset with the service and food quality. Today on my most recent visit, I called in my order and was told it would be ready within 10 to 15 minutes of me placing my order and I showed up only to wait a total of 25 minutes in addition to the 10 to 15 minutes it took me to get there. The cashier forgot to prep/give me my drink as they’ve done in the past few times. They also charged me for extra salsa and told me it was in the bag but it never made it in the bag so I paid extra for something I didn’t get. I even asked if it was in there and they said it was. I guess if I decide to return I definitely will have to go through the entire order before leaving. It’s a bummer to see things turning out this way for them. Service is unprofessional and lacking. Flacos is always a go to if you want authentic. Stopped here with some buddies from work on break. Turning into a small unpaved street lot, what was the first taste of authentic. To me it took me back, if you travel abroad to mexico, costa rica, Colombia, etc...you know what its like to go out to eat and the rain hits you. Thats the view you get when you're inside. Any time of day, scene fits differently as soon as you step inside. It has to be the trees and plants surrounding it. Great shade! But the food yess, i always like to go for el pastor tacos... 4 tacos with marinated pork... Idk what it is. Because I like to alwayd try every restaurant's tacos al pasrtor.
