Logger Bar — Restaurant in Blue Lake

Given the day, I either love or hate this bar. The atmosphere is always at least an 8/10 for me. But depending on the bartender, the service ends up either being so fantastic that I stay for hours, or so lousy that I walk out after 10-15 minutes. Last week for instance. Came for karaoke. Stayed for the piña coladas. Hours. The bartender was attentive and friendly despite it being a FULL BAR. She custom-made piña coladas for me all night, and if this was how the bar was all the time, I'd be here all the time. 🔥💪 However tonight I came here for another drink and it wasn't quite as crowded (albeit still a full bar), and the bartender NEVER greeted me. Never acknowledged me. Never gave any indication that I would be served at all and I was there waiting, leaning into the bar, trying to get her attention for at least 15 minutes. This was one of those nights I walked out, cursing under my breath. So... that being said, the bar can be a 10/10 some days, and a 2/10 on other days. I understand if you're overwhelmed, but a little acknowledgement goes a long way. No acknowledgement gets you a lost customer and a luke-warm review. Overall, I mean. Balancing between the 10/10 service vs the 1/10 service. If I were leaving a review based on tonight alone it'd be 0 stars. If it were based on last week alone it'd be 100% satisfaction. Now, I'll be back... but I'll be watching. And if it's the same bartender as tonight, believe me—I'll be walking right...

Wow this place is run like a little kids club house,🤣 waited hr for a drink and got no service. Meanwhile alot of locals got free drinks weren't even charged from the bartenders and I just sat and watched in disbelief. Definitely time to grow up and run a real business. This place won't be open in a year from now the way it's being ran. Hopefully the owner knows how terrible the bartenders are. I'm sure they can tell by the bottom line. Definitely worse service I seen in years. Just walk out after a hr sitting a bar with zero customer service. Went down the road to another bar and got treated good. Right next to Murphy's. I simply loved this tiny little bar in the tiny little town of Blue lake California! They had an excellent band. These guys were likely 65 years plus and they were extremely pleasurable. The bar staff was extremely attentative, funny and handle crowds wonderfully without leaving anyone waiting for a drink for too long. A food vendor was cooking chicken on the street corner outside of the bar. It smelled delicious! The crowd ranged from 21 years to 85 years! I left The Logger Bar with a big smile on my face and a skip in my step. Simply amazing how welcomed I felt. Totally reminded me of the golden days past when folks were neighborly and kind at all times. Thank you Logger...
