Jim's Roadhouse Burgers and Beef — Restaurant in Boardman

Not a bad experience, not whatsoever but nowhere near as flavorful as my expectation. I ended up with the French dip, a side of fries, the pickle slaw and a cup of a hamburger soup.

The French dip, although tender just wasn't very flavorful at all even with the sauteed onions on top. The meat almost tasted like generic, sliced boxed meat you can get at Sam's Club not that I'm implying that they did that.

The cheeseburger soup was just bordering on flavor and incredibly greasy but at the same time had so much liquid below the oil that you weren't able to eat it. The fries were pretty good. The pickle slaw is just something that I have to adjust to so I can't give a yay or a nay yet. I wasn't expecting it to be sweet which was a surprise, I was expecting more of a sourdill flavor but it was not bad at all.

I had the double cheeseburger and fries with a 22oz drink and two cookies. The price was roughly $19. The fries are thin/limp. For a steak fry, I prefer something thicker and firm for dipping. Seating is available while limited. There are also tables for standing. The food was okay. I am often in the area for work so I may go back to try some other options on the menu. As far as customer service, I was greeted and served as any other customer. Stopped in to check the place out after driving past it on my way to Sheelys. The food was delicious and top notch. My wife and I were just looking to get a quick bite and were very pleased by the food and the service. We split a cheeseburger and onion straws. We met the owner Jim who was super personable.
