Very disappointed! We went on a Saturday afternoon about 20 minutes after they opened. We were seated quickly but that was the only positive thing to come out of our visit. After being seated, the waitress came by and said I will be with you shortly. When she came back to take our drink order, we told her we would like to go ahead and order our food as well. We placed our drink order, which was 3 flights and a glass of wine, and our food order. We then proceeded to wait over an hour for our food or drinks to come to the table. People around us were seated and served their food and wine, while we still did not even have our drinks. Eventually, the waitress brought our food and looked at us and said you have no drinks. We stated that if she would have come by the table and checked on us, she would have seen there were no drinks. The waitress stated that she was going to go check on the drinks and started to walk away with the food. We asked her if she could leave the food when she went. We ordered a steak salad, 2 chicken Florentine sandwiches and one breaded fish sandwich, all of which were cold. It was clear that the food had been sitting in the back. We also did not have silverware or napkins. While we were waiting, one of us went to the bar to get silverware. While at the bar, I overheard the bartender complaining to guests at the bar that she could not take care of them yet because she had to get this drink order out first (it was our order). There was no silverware at the bar, and I was told that the waitress would bring it when she brought back the drinks, when we did get our drinks, we were never told when glass contained which wine. Once the waitress returned to the table, I asked to speak to a manager. I was told there is no management there! I asked for our bill which we were able to take care of on our phones and not have to wait. We were never apologized to for waiting, cold food nothing. When we were walking out the door, we held it open for a couple behind us who we overhead saying they were completely rude and that it was unacceptable. I have called the phone number on the website for 3 days and ALWAYS get the voicemail. The Vineyards is a beautiful place with fabulous views, but they have serious problems they need to fix and that start with the service.

Read moreMy wife, mother, daughter and i were there for lunch on Saturday July 8th. We went in and the sign let us know to seat ourselves. We went out onto the patio and found a table. When we entered the patio the server noticed us and i could see that both of them were waiting on other tables, it was moderately busy so my wife and mother got us menus. We sat down and waited, about 5 minutes passed and another couple walked in and sat down beside us. When the server finally did come out she proceeded to look over at us, knowing we were there before this other couple and then proceeded to serve them. She got their waters and finally acknowledged us and said sorry folks ill be right with you. She returned and gave the couple their wine about 5 minutes later. We waited and she never came back, we sat on the patio for approximately 25 total minutes and were never served. When we got up to leave and passed back inside we noticed that the two women who came in behind us were also already eating and drinking. So as you can see we were never even waited on and two sets of couples that came after us were taken care of before us. We are pretty understanding people and would have been fine if the server would have stopped by and said something like "hey we are a little behind today can you give me some extra time?" I would have said sure no problem, instead she just chose not to help us at all. I pointed it out to her and she never made no comment no apologies or anything! ....I thought she would bring me a fresh glass of water never returned with an exchange or an apology still yet, I asked for a new waitress and i had ordered my meal ordered the 8 oz steak and mashed potatoes and green beans and when I received my meal my steak was really dry and the mashed potatoes was old and dry the green beans was so stringy and wilted they looked old!! I was so excited to come and have a good meal at this restaurant that I had been there previously before covid...... The food was scrumptious and I couldn't wait to return and I brought my girlfriend with me and I was so excited for her to experience the same experience., I had with the scrumptious food that I had and it turned out horrible!! I was never so disappointed with my meal..... you have a very beautiful facility there.. I enjoyed setting there and looking out at the lake and the Beautiful scenery that you have there!!....... I'm sorry that I have to write and tell you about this situation.... I'm not the type of person that complains until it is totally unbearable, I'm sorry to say I probably won't return, and I come to Shaker woods every year and I really enjoyed your facility and the atmosphere and the food the last time I was there it was unbelievably scrumptious!
