Snowflake Donuts & Kolaches — Restaurant in Boerne

Kolaches were very undercooked and it was disappointing. I basically couldn’t eat the dough and just payed $15 for 6 expensive hotdogs. Donuts were good. I hope owner will check in with the bakers and have more quality checks. Update: I decided to give it another try a few days after I left this review. Unfortunately, the kolaches were worse than the time before. I actually asked to exchange them for some that were cooked thoroughly. The woman working at the drive through was pretty friendly both times I saw her but she seemed annoyed with me when I asked to exchange and insisted that they were indeed cooked even after I pulled apart the wet dough to show her it was clearly not. I’ve worked at a Snowflake Donuts and I know what is cooked and what isn’t. While I waited I saw that her and another employee then removed the entire pan of kolaches from the display case. That seems a huge waste for their business. Anyhow, they did find some that were cooked well so in the end I was relatively pleased. Stopped in here when visiting my sister. Cool ambiance, super fast, and friendly. Owner knows my sister and her kids well. Love that type of family vibe. She even asked where her son was because she noticed he wasn’t with us and was at home with my mom. It’s a place where everybody knows your name. Love it! Donuts were just as good.
