Long Branch Cafe — Restaurant in Bogalusa

After reading reviews of this place, my wife and I went there for lunch on a Friday. Inside it is very small and crowded. We sat ourselves and a waitress came by to take our order. My wife ordered shrimp and I ordered the oysters w/ mac&cheese. While waiting for our food to come out we noticed how filthy the walls and floor was also when ever someone walked by the floor would shake as being unstable. The owner cane out, he was easy to spot, over weight and dressed in black t-shirt and black short pants looking like he just climbed out of a dumpster. Finally our lunch arrived, I first took a bite if my mac&cheese to find a mac noodle hanging from a long black hair. I call a waitress over and she kindly offered to get me a new fork. If you want homemade country cooking, This is your place! They probably got a couple grandmothers back there In the kitchen, And they know how to cook! They are very good at what they do! And the food is always more than delicious! They don't let you leave hungry! That's for sure. They go by a day by day menu. And that makes for a better meal! Because they can put all their time into what they are cooking instead of cooking multiple things Everyday! When you walk in the door it smells like you walked into your grandmother's house.
