My son brought me home a red white and blue lotus yesterday. He ordered light ice because that's how I like my drinks. It was delicious! I told my daughter about it and we bought one today. It was very disappointing to say the least. Our light ice drinks came with a cup filled to the brim with ice. After she repeated the order back and said "will that be light ice for both drinks?" So, just a few sips later and it's gone unlike yesterday where I was able to actually enjoy my drink much longer. Also, my daughter who rarely complains because she works in the food service industry said the drink tasted like soda water nothing to brag about. Whereas yesterday it was delicious. For as much money as you pay I would expect my experience to be satisfying. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened where we got one drink and it was delicious and then next time we got it and it didn't taste anything like the first time. So, that in itself is disappointing that's there's no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first visit here. I got a simple latte and a bacon, egg and cheese on an English muffin to go with it minutes later I took a single bite from my sandwich and immediately spit it out. The whole thing was microwaved. The English muffin is soggy, the egg looks plastic and worst of all the two measly strips of bacon look raw. The latte itself is ok but I wonāt be coming back. I got two bottles of water as well as the sandwich and coffee and ended up paying over $15. And when I paid the screen asked for a tip with options that started as low as 18% and then went over 20%, when has this become the norm? Was I supposed to tip for a microwaved sandwich or a few shots of espresso with hot milk? And by the way the highest option was on the left where the lowest typically is, thatās pretty sneaky. All in all, yuck.
On the bright side thereās ample parking and lots of seating both indoor...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can say that this coffee shop is a must for coffee lovers! Great staff, great owners, great coffee. You feel part of the Bald Head Coffee and Tea House family when you walk in the door. The atmosphere is cozy, beautiful and clean. Certainly my absolute favorite go-to spot as a local (16 miles round trip daily with my Golden Retriever). My dog gets spoiled just as much as I do. A tasty pup cup with a peanut butter/oatmeal cookie, that is locally made, topping it. The pup cookies are sold there as well as many wonderful bakery items and sandwiches, bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Locally made sourdough bread, teas, coffees and much more is available. Enjoy the outdoor patio which is perfect when the weatherās nice; dogs are welcome. If traveling on 87 to or from Southport, stop in. Youāll be...
