This was the third course I visited during my recent trip to Boise Idaho.
Warms Springs is a public, parkland style course that's a short drive from downtown Boise, that sits between the Boise River and the beautiful mountains of Idaho. It claims to be a championship style course. I would argue that it's not. This is a beginner to a high-handicapped player friendly public course.
The course is generally long, flat and forgiving. It can get boring at times if you're a better than average golfer. The tee boxes are oddly spaced out, and show some wear. The bunkers are shallow with very hard sand. The greens are generally in good condition and playable.
The pace of play is slow. We played closer to five hours. This largely to do with the variety of players this course attracts.
The practice areas are nothing to write home about and are barely useful to warm up. And the pro shop is also very basic, and cluttered. I definitely wouldn't stick around for a beverage after.
For a no-frills course, the fees are more than affordable which is in line with what you get. I would say that this course is best suited for beginner or high-handicapped players who just want to have fun and a fair price.
All being sad, it was a fun day with good weather. I couldn't...

We went for breakfast. There was literally a couple or two there as well. But there were a lot of people on the golf course as there was a tournament going on.
The food was pretty good, there were very limited options for breakfast. The appetizers or lunch options were not prepped yet and could not be offered.
Hoping someday they'll get a nice coffee machine here to enjoy the mornings on the patio and watch the wildlife and golfers
The staff for food was very minimal but they were very polite and nice.
It looks like the bar is very well equipped and if you go after a certain time in the morning you'll be able to have the cocktail of your choice!
We will definitely be going back again for different meal...
Read moreFolks in the clubhouse do a remarkably horrible job of accommodating singles. While I understand that they don’t except reservations for single golfers I find it fairly unique that when playing by the rules you are penalized as the members of the pro shop have no clue as to the number of folks teeing off. I was told that I could be on a waitlist until further notice with the understanding they would fit me in when they could. While I understand the predicament they are in given the structure of their own rules set I waited politely and watched a number of groups go off with only three golfers.
Will not be attending this golf course for any reason in the future given the lack of accountability and general follow up...
