Owner is rude and picks fights with customers. Did not want to give a to go cup even though I’m paying $3.50 for a fountain drink. I didn’t want to drink out of their dirty red cups that they use. 1 chicken burger, fries, drink and a chicken rice bowl came out to be $40 which is ridiculous. they are over charging like crazy. My chicken burger came out super quick and flavorless, it was white and tough to chew. No seasoning in the chicken at all. I ordered cheese in my burger and it was not melted, it was a cold piece of cheese they slapped on. The rest of my group that ordered food had blood in their chicken piece and when we informed the manager he was super unprofessional, wanted the last word and was coming towards us like he wants to physically fight. What kind of establishment is this. Customers are the reason why your bills are being paid, learn to treat them right. Our group was not hostile at all. If you are a miserable person that hates working, you shouldn’t physically work at your restaurant. Hire someone and pay them fair wages. Now if that man that we encountered was not the owner and just a regular worker, do you not check who you hire, because walking up to your customers face is horrible. Over some chicken that YOU didn’t cook properly and had BLOOD in it.
Edit: if you bothered to actually read my review, I clearly stated above “the rest of my group that ordered” the burger experience is mine, and the experience that I am informing in this review is from a member from my group from that day. We came in a group of 7 PEOPLE. Now when it comes to businesses, you do not treat customers rudely from the get go, and when the customers CALMY brings up an issue and you start to show MORE attitude, then ofc they are going to retaliate. Now if your business is too cheap to comp a drink/ full meal for YOUR MISTAKE... or give out to go cups ... you shouldn’t own a business. Your hostility is shameful and you and your team need to get proper training. I review both positive and negative experiences that I experience hence being a local guide. So thanks for checking out my page appreciate the love!
Refunding that $3.50 for the drink for customer satisfaction isn’t a bad sacrifice. There are always losses when owning a business. If your establishment was willing to be NICE, and not show attitude in the first place then this review wouldn’t have been posted.
But if you really need the $3.50 to sleep at night.. kinda pathetic lol.
This was my experience with your establishment. I’m not tolerating business owners...
Read moreTonight was my first time dining at The Port of Peri Peri and it was superb!
I usually stick to mild spice level everywhere I go, so I got the chicken with lemon and herb sauce, which is their most mild sauce. It was bursting with flavor, and it had a little bit of a kick, so I'm glad I didn't order it any spicier. The dark meat chicken was very tender.
I also got the rice (very nice, soaked up the extra sauce from the chicken) and the toasted pita. The server brought out a garlic sauce, which I used to dip my pita in, and it was great. I'm a huge garlic fan, and that sauce was a nice addition.
My dad got the medium spice white meat chicken and it was a little spicier than he was expecting ( he usually orders Medium wherever he goes), but still delicious enough that he wanted to take leftovers home (the portions were generous). He also liked his coleslaw and potato salad.
My mom's meal came with cassava fries, and they were great! Nicely spiced and crispy.
They had a good selection of drinks. We all got the mango iced tea, and it was delicious.
The staff were all very nice and professional. The atmosphere was more casual than I was expecting (I thought it was a sit down restaurant rather than ordering at the counter), but it was sort of an upscale casual, so it was still nice. They had beautiful dishes. And again, the wait staff who took our orders and brought the food to the table were all very pleasant and polite.
I'm definitely hoping to come here again next time I'm in town, and my parents are already making plans to bring...
Read moreOwner lies on the face saying the amount we paid was $136 where as we have paid $191and also there was any discount given by the restaurant it was the deal that we ordered which was buy 1 get 1 free!! So you did not do any favors and yes owner is blaming everything on us and uber eats which is dumb to me because you guys are the one who give them the menu!! We have also uploaded the receipt which no where says chicken and also the owner has audacity to say that our intentions are Malice!!! This to me doesn’t seem to be a good customer service. Pathetic customer service. We ordered veg wrap and falafal pita and we were delivered chicken we called the restaurant and the manager incharge refused to give is any solution and in return she said it is Uber eats fault they might have changed the food they packed the right food! We spend more then $200 and the manager incharge was just stupid and stubborn and was so so arrogant and asked us to wait for the owner call us the next day and nothing can be done at that moment. It is navratri and we were 9 people and few of them were vegetarian and they all ended up taking a bite of chicken wrap and pita!!! Never had this experience ever with any restaurant in the past!! We were recommended by a friend but i will definitely not recommend this place to nobody ever again!! I am sure no one will be calling back or give any solution or...
