Parson's Pub — Restaurant in Bonne Terre

This is your typical dive bar or hole in the wall. Right now it's under New Management that is making progress in their construction to make it a bigger place and better. Soon they will be adding three pool tables for the enjoyment of their guests and we may see a pool league in the future. The avery age range of patrons is 30-60. The locals that you find in there are very diverse in personalities, backgrounds, and levels of intoxication.lol If you are people watcher and like doing it with a cold beer, this is the place for you. On Fridays they host different bands two to three times a month. During the summer time between memorial Day and Labor Day there are many "weekenders" that are out for a good time. I ALMOST FORGOT THE FOOD!! The burgers here are amazing! They have a buffet almost nightly and a breakfast buffet on the weekends that puts many others to shame. Rick and Laurie, whom are the main cooks there, actually take care in what they're cooking and you can see this by looking at the smiles of the customer's faces. I called 30 minutes ahead, and when I came in, my food hadn't even been started yet, and she threw the greasy chicken on top of my french fries, made un-edible because they had already been greasy, and I couldn't help but notice that she had gave somebody cigarettes for free, I paid $15 for my chicken platter and by the time I got it home the french fries had absorbed all the fried chicken grease and I could not eat the fries at all they were literally stopping wet with grease usually I have good experiences in Parsons pub but not this time and I'm sure the boss wouldn't like his cigarettes being given away for free I could not believe she did that but oh well perhaps they need a new waitress. Goose Creek Market is a convenience store a place where you can just pop in to get certain items. They have a buffet breakfast that is wonderful and they prepare a lunch and dinner special every day. On Thanksgiving they had a huge buffet dinner available to everyone that wanted to come in and have a meal with them there was no price for the meal amd it was wonderful to socialize and have a meal with neighbors and Friends.
