Il Forno Vanish — Restaurant in Boonsboro

Normally this would be a 4 - 5 star review, however the last 2 visits were not ideal. Checked hours online, said they close at 9PM, so arrive at 7:45 to put in an order for some to-go pizzas and have a beer, was hoping to be out of there by 8:15. Was told they "just shut down" because it was dead. Just follow your posted hours, or change your hours on the slow days. A few days later I go in and there is no seating for 6. Was told they could move a round table for 2 up to a 4 seater booth. Wrong, they then said they cannot do that which makes sense. To be fair, they did offer to split us up, but with 3 adults and 3 kids, it would not be ideal to do so. Constructive criticism here. Optimize your space, you have plenty of it. There are 4-5 low round 2-seaters against a wall. A row of 4-5 4-seater booths, a 6-seater, and then 3 4-seaters in the main area. Get rid of round tables, they are useless and replace with 4-6 seater rectangle/squares that can be moved together. Move booths against the wall and the squares that replace the round to the middle. There is never any harm in putting 2 people at a 4 seater if you have to, but when you have 4 or 6, there is nothing you can do with the 2 seaters, especially since they are round. We will give it a try in a few weeks when we get down there again and will quickly remove and write a new 4-5 star review because the food and beer is good, just having a hard time actually getting some to enjoy...

Up until today I would've told you that Tony's Pizza was the best in Washington County MD.....they now have true competition. Il Forno's pizza in collaboration with Vanish Brewery is now tied for the best pizza in WashCo. If I could combine Tony's Pizza Margherita sauce with Il Forno's dough and everything else you would have the best pizza on the East Coast. The food alone is worth the trip.

The beer was very good and you have a nice selection of different styles. The staff was very nice and attentive. The kids, and adults, have an arcade to keep you busy. I I love the big open space too....

I can’t even begin to state how excited we are to have Vanish in boonsboro. We have been fans of their beer, and Il Forno pizza for years from living in frederick (and driving to vanish in VA). Now it’s in our backyard!

17 days after their grand opening, and everything is amazing already. The pizza great, beer amazing, and the service top notch. We had Josh as a server and he was amazing the entire time- especially when we were asking for drink recommendations!
