Boothbay Harbor Country Club — Restaurant in Boothbay

So as a first time visitor I didn’t know what to expect other than what I saw in pictures. All I can say is. It far exceeded every expectation I had. From the welcoming staff, to the stunning clubhouse, I was impressed before even seeing the course. The course itself is simply superb. I’ve played all over the world, from Dubai, to Japan, Scotland and South Africa. From places at home like pebble beach, and kiawah Island, to Courses abroad like Loch Lomand, and Dubai yacht and creek country club. I would put this place in that high level category. Granted there are no ocean views from this course , and it’s not exceptionally long, but it is a mountain style course that has been expertly carved out of the Maine coastal countryside with amazing detail and focus on the existing landscape. The tees are set with numbers rather than colors and I played from the “4 “ of the 5 tees. ( 5 being the longest ). The course played at about 6200 yards but given the slopes and uphill holes it has, many holes felt quite a bit longer. As a scratch golfer it suited me perfectly. But for players of different abilities there are plenty of accommodating tees to enjoy the course from. The views from many of the holes are simply gorgeous. The clubhouse towers over the course and right away You can’t wait to see it all as you open from the first tee That plays downhill to a generous landing area on a relatively short par 4 to begin your day. If you have the length. There’s a large tree on the right you can carry and have a wedge or less to the green. But be warned , all day. Do not be on the wrong side of the Pins, because the immaculate greens were rolling at about 12 on the stimp meter both days I played.

I only got a few shots maybe 10-12 or so before I play. And a then a few putts. But the practice facility was also superb.

It’s a private club , but you can play it if you stay at the boothbay harbor resort. If you like golf, in a luxurious perfectly maintained course. You will not be disappointed here! ...

We stayed 3 nights at Boothbay Harbor Oceanside Golf Resort, and played twice at Boothbay Harbor CC, their sister property. Both were outstanding. The BBHCC was in immaculate condition tees through greens. The entire course is quite rolling as are the greens which putted true, requiring very good green reading skills. The fairways are quite wide open. The staff in both was very professional and friendly. COVID precautions are well observed. The on-course bathrooms are the most beautiful I've seen anywhere. Plenty of bottled water out there too. The custom made logo sports car padded cushioned seats in their EZ-GO electric carts were wonderful as well. Babbling brooks run through several holes , and are more of a viewing pleasure...

Probably one of the most beautiful country clubs in the entire Northeast. The flowers, greens, the fairways are on Absolutely beautiful. The service is actually impeccable, and the food is always delicious. The staff are always accommodating. They hosted my daughter‘s rehearsal dinner last year at the Coastal Prime restaurant location (which is under the same ownership as the country club) , and it was absolutely amazing. We rented out the entire bar, deck and restaurant area, and it could’ve been any classier! I highly highly recommend this country club , if you’re thinking of joining or just thinking of coming “staying and playing” !!
