I decided to give this restaurant a try because it was close to our hotel and it had a good view on the deck outback. We ordered 2 dinner meals and I had a drink called the puffin from the bar. Which was very delicious. Strong but delicious. I was tipsy off of that one drink. 👍 I got the clam po'boy with french fries and a cup of clam chowder. I have never had a po'boy before and thought I would try it. All 3 were good. Clams were fried well. French fries were crisp, and the clam chowder was hot and creamy. Oster crackers were served with it, which I like better then regular crackers. The other order was a seafood samplers with clams, haddock, shrimp, and scallops served with french fries also. The Haddock was amazing. My favorite out of the sampler. Clams were good. Scallops and shrimp were kinda small. As for environment its a nice view with good seating. The waiter was great. Very intentive. Very quick.

This is a beautiful location to have a nice afternoon drink, but I was disappointed with the food on my most recent visit. The outdoor bar is well equipped, but this location used to offer a great restaurant. Sadly, this is gone and in its place is a take-out shack for food. The clam chowder was very salty, and the lobster roll (an expensive $31) was not exactly generously stuffed. As well, the lobster meat in it was soft shell, leaving the meat overly wet and somewhat squishy, not firm and delicious like hard shell meat. When I brought this to the attention of the young man taking orders and the serve-yourself take out bar, he was less than interested. He told me that it is all they can get due to the time of the year, but when I checked around (lots of lobster rolls out there!), it seems this is not really the case. So we will just go for drinks next time, enjoy the location, and dine elsewhere.

Stumbled upon this great little spot in East Boothbay (within walking distance of the AirBNB we stayed in). It's the type of place where you order at a booth, and they give you a buzzer to notify you when your order is ready. The location is right on the water, with a great new pier (it even has a real lobster boat hoisted onto the pier to serve as a bar). The food is very good, the drinks are quite tasty, and the location cannot be beat. Honestly, during our week-long trip to Boothbay Harbor, the Lobsterman's Wharf had the best food of the week.

Very disappointed. I have ordered fried seafood platters all over coastal New England. While the $31 price is at higher-end of average for a fresh fried combination platter, beware, our takeout was insultingly disproportionate AND the overall quality was really poor. Platters at this price point should be pretty loaded with fresh goodies and have a smal mountain of french fries and maybe a few fresh onion rings. HERE’S WHAT WE GOT: The shrimp looked suspiciously the size and quality of those grocery store party platters that come prepackaged on round trays, and they were totally oil-logged = just gross... NOT EVEN CLOSE to the shrimp you should get on a combo platter in this region! My husband said, “are these people serious??”. There were 5 fried whole clams, the best part, but I like them over-cooked and extra crunchy. 5 small sea scallops, around 10 of those insulting half-bite-sized weird shrimp and 2 very small finger-sized pieces of fish (typically you should get one huge or two smaller fat pieces of haddok)... oh yeah, and a VERY SMALL handful of fries and a little half-filled container of cole slaw. We were mad and felt insulted, especially since it was takeout and we felt like they cut serious corners for profit margins or they just don’t care. I have no problem dropping $$$ on beautiful fried seafood or any other dining experience, but THIS WASN’T IT. (Heads up: Someone mentioned they are under new ownership, so don’t invest too much in the older reviews for this...
