Recently, my sweetheart and I were driving back home from Quitman, Georgia, after an evening of volunteer clean-up from Hurricane Helene. We had originally planned to eat in Cairo, Georgia, but came across The Silo in Boston, Georgia, which was way closer to us at the time. They have burgers, fries, sausages, nachos, wraps, salads, etc. All choices are the sorts that all looked good, but most of the time, my hankering for a hamburger helps me determine if I came back to a location. The burger was decent. I had requested some pepper Jack cheese on the burger. When my order was ready, I had to put on my own condiments, which were the packets. The handcut breaded fries we're outstanding! Even though I did get the burger, I may try their reloaded cheese fries next time. The reason I say that is my sweetheart got the chicken nachos, and I dipped my French fries and the cheese sauce and began to imagine eating a plate of those reloaded cheese fries with jalapeños. Our experience this day was like that of eating a picnic in the park in October just after a cold front moved through. There was live music playing downtown from a small stage and a display of new and classic cars to view down the main street. We will definitely return to The Silo for the other meal options. Oh, and if able, bring cash to purchase your meal. They incentivize with a discount with a cash purchase. I used the...
Read moreHeard about this place and the wife and I had to check it out. It was a drizzly day and we knew we had to sit outside but that was no problem. The seating area was great. The burger was outstanding! The staff did a great job. My only complaint was the potato wedges. They were way to big and there were a little to many! I mean nobody’s going to eat two potatoes with a burger…😂🤷♂️I’d suggest having fries or another substitute for them. We will be back either way! UPDATE….had to go back and we took some friends. Everything was amazing! Fries were cut way smaller and the special of the day was spectacular! We will be going back! Updated from a...
Read moreWe finally made it here while we were passing through Boston and it was so fun! The atmosphere is really cool and relaxed. They have swings for the younger kids to play on and the vibe is just very laid back and casual. I loved sitting under the trees and fairy lights. The food was wonderful. The homemade fries are delicious. I had the patty melt and it was wonderful. Their homemade vinegarette on the salad was AMAZING. My son enjoyed their boba lemonade. Just a very cool, chill place with wonderful service. We will definitely be back when...
