El Mezcal Mexican Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Bowdon

So... I'm new to this area... I moved here last fall... I've seen this restaurant a lot and have want to experience it ... I am still recovering from being paralyzed last year from guillain Barre syndrome, so I haven't got out much... So today I decide to try their take out.... But I did get to go inside for a minute when I picked up my food.... very nice ambience, very clean from what I saw... the service look very good as I watched a few tables where I was, I think there might be a whole nother dining area.... So the important part....food.... First, the chips are good but their salsa is very tasty for me, I like that, it isn't very hot so if you try them you will need to add heat for your self but it tastes very good... I ordered chicken chimmichanga.... is very tasty and good, I really like their rice, beans but their guacamole is very smooth.... I also ordered the #2combo with soft taco and enchilada.... taco meat being beef, not greasy and very tasty... Plus I got street corn... theirs 8s good but if you order to go, ask for extra cheese and seasoning...just a suggestion... I've had street corn other places and it's seems always messy, here it is not, but I will ask for more on the side to dip it in, which by the way means I pkan to go back.... I would like to give 5 stars, I saw how they recently received a 61 on health dept score and wanted to see for myself if that was true. Our waiter was as kind as could be, we have an autistic son and he was extremely patient and understanding about the behavior of my son. He even helped my son out with ordering and explained what particular items were and solved his picky eating with a simple pizza! It meant a lot to see that. As for the food it was delicious, the salsa had fresh tasty cilantro and the rice was very good. Rice is one of the things that I am particular about and their's was top notch. If you have had a negative experience here, don't give up on them I am sure they'd appreciate a second chance! They are honest people just looking to run a business and I don't feel that they did anything bad intentionally. Overall this is a good establishment and I will be back. I got the steak ranchero and it was cooked flawlessly! Absolutely delicious, tender and a good sized steak. It looked exactly like the one on the new menu because they took the picture for the new menu. Food was all fabulous! Served in a Mexico city cantina-esq storefront restaurant.
