Uptown Cafe — Restaurant in Bowie

My Veggie Omelet and Home Fries were absolutely terrible and I want my money back! The home fries were mostly gristle, but the very little amount of actual potato present was rock hard and clearly old. The veggie omelet was a nasty mess of way too much cheese on one half and way too much onion on the other. There was a little amount of tomato, mushroom, and green pepper present, but the way the omelet was made was just so unappetizing and tasted so, so bad.

Uptown Cafe may be able to make other food well but they cannot make a Veggie Omelet...

What a nice family cafe/deli; clean, open, well ventilated, expansive menu of offerings and specials with asian touch. I came in well after breakfast menu stopped and at end of lunch hour but asked for coffee and was kindly told coffee was no longer served, had excellent blt and water and about 1/2 way through my sandwich the owner appeared with a fresh cup of coffee on the house. I couldn't thank him enough for that kindness. I won't have to think twice about frequenting ...

Mr. Kim, the owner, is super friendly, definitely say hi to him! This place is great for a quick hot or cold sandwich. Everything is good. There are some healthier wrap options. They make several hot foods daily during lunch, and they make fries (obvious bonus for a sub shop!). If you're coming just for the cafe, I recommend parking behind the building, as there is a door directly into the cafe...
