"THE" Best BBQ in VA!! šŸ˜‹ Hands āœ‹ļø Down!! The Carolina Pulled Pork šŸ– is exquisite, the Ribs spectacular šŸ˜ , and the Beef Brisket 🤯 will go up against the best of Texas šŸ‡ØšŸ‡± !!! Good sauce, not bold, complements the flavors of the meats very well. Coleslaw, Beans, and hushpuppies are good. One of the great pitmasters in VA! Going back tomorrow to sample more of the sides; and, of course, get more of this (should be) award winning meat šŸ–!! Went back and got more of the Brisket, Ribs, and Pulled Pork; just Heavenly 🌤 šŸ˜‡ !! The current location will only be open 3 more days before they move to a larger building; September 17, 18, and 25th, 11 am to 6 pm. Relocation will be to 18164 A.P. Hill Blvd, Bowling Green, VA. See you there!! Now open at new location! (Finally!) They have all of your faves and table service! Still great BBQ, even better building (with restrooms) What!?! 😳 You haven't been to Bowling Green yet? Well get in your car šŸš— and start driving!! Great BBQ awaits..... šŸ˜›

This was our first time. We've been waiting to go and surely wasn't disappointed. We drove an hour for some of the best BBQ / Brisket. The pricing was great, very affordable. Portion sizes: on point! There was plenty to take home after a good meal. We tried the beer battered onion rings - **it's a must try. They are delish. I had the Carolina style BBQ with deep fried corn on the cob.....that's right, deep fried. It's another **must try. On to the coleslaw- oh yeah, two thumbs up. The brisket, nice and moist - cooked juuuuuust right! I've never had baked beans with kidney beans in them but again, **it's a must try. Ohhh the hush puppies, I could have ate a dozen of them. The house BBQ is great with the pulled pork. We also had the smoked mac n cheese with a short rib on top, topped with crispy jalapenos, ** it's a must try. All in all, 4 thumbs up for us. I'm a "BBQ conasaur" and can be very picky, but we will definitely take the hour drive and be back....real soon! šŸ˜€

I will start by saying the food is not the disappointment. Its the fact that they raised the prices significantly and the portions appear to be smaller. My family and I were excited about the new location and more hours and days opened, however, with no option available except to have to drive to the location to place our pick up order, we were shocked at the price increase. After spending $31 and some change I thought the bag felt light. When we got home imagine our shock to find our meals so small that we were still hungry after. Good luck on the new location, I hope others can justify paying over $15 for the attached picture, but our family definitely cannot and will not again.

OMG!!! My fiancƩ and I stopped here after we attended a funeral in the area. We rode pass here to drop a family member off and it caught my eye - we read the reviews and decided this was it before we headed back up the road! Boy oh boy am I AM SO HAPPY THAT we did!

Customer service: 20/10 !!!We were greeted with smiles and pleasantries by the owners, who were VERY nice and offered warm, genuine conversation!! Let me start by saying that I was VERY disappointed that the community BROUGHT up all of the BRISKET :-( for the day (we did go in close to closing, so I understand) but the owners MORE THAN made up for it with their generosity in the portions we received and the exemplary service!) SIDEBAR: We found a parking lot to pull over and sit in to eat the sandwiches and try the sides before we got on the highway to head back home to DC-- I am GLAD WE DID! :-)

We ordered quite a bit bc we were starving but also bc we wanted some real BBQ!! We had: The Big Swing Combo: it came with 2 pulled pork sandwiches, 2 sides and 2 can sodas Sandwiches: were PACKED with tender juicy pulled pork (I like that they didn’t add sauce to the pulled pork so we got to taste the essence of the smoked flavor and spices- YUMMY!) and topped with coleslaw, which was a little bland alone but paired well with the pulled pork and the vinegar based bbq sauce (I’ll admit that particular sauce was more vinegar than tomato and wasn’t very thick but it surely worked well with sprucing up the coleslaw a tad:-))!! Sides: baked beans and greens - I’ll admit I’ve never had my baked beans made the way that they made them but they were pretty tasty. The greens could use a little more salt to taste but I added some of the vinegar bbq sauce (sounds weird, I know. Lol but remember the way they make theirs is not thick or extra tomato based, so it was a great compliment).

Chili (tasted once I got home and warmed it up): C’est magnifique!!!! AH-MAZING!!! Had just the right quick and flavor that brought it all together and was very delectable!!!

Ribs - we ordered 2 bones...we realized that we received a lot MORE than that when we got back home!! THOSE RIBS -- WHEW -- THOSE RIBS!!! TENDER, SMOKED TO PERFECTION, SAUCE GOOD!!! MAN!!! OH!!! MAN!!!!

I definitely recommend!! From the extra food the owner threw in the bag for us to their customer service and the taste and everything. YES! Hopefully we can get back down that way soon so that I can try the brisket but...

I have grown up eating Kansas City, Memphis, Carolina and Texas BBQ. I must say I was impressed at how this place swung and missed at every single meat and side they made. Normally a restaurant at least does one thing well on the menu.

Reasons why the price tag is no where near worth it: Lowest possible quality of ingredients for the sides used. KFC has a better coleslaw. Long John Silvers have better hush puppies and the collard greens weren't even seasoned with salt.

This was the first time in my existence on this planet that I didn't finish a piece of brisket. All the meat is too sweet. Sugar addicts eat your hearts out.

This place doesn't even have dill pickles or onions on hand yet advertise Texas brisket.

The hardest thing to screw up is Mac and Cheese, but apparently if you try hard enough, you can do that too!

The staff is lovely but the cornbread isn't even real cornbread.

This post is for visitors not for locals who seem to not know the difference between good BBQ and this.

Avoid this place and just go to Mcdonalds or Subway in Bowling Green instead. You'll enjoy the food more and you'll save a...

Found this establishment on Google. It had a good amount of reviews that were pretty high so we decided to try. My family ordered the family meal and some additional items. The meal came with chicken wings, pulled pork and ribs with macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, buns and hush puppies. We also ordered an additional slab of ribs, greens and snacks for the kids. The meal was pre fixed; I didn’t like that I couldn’t make substitutions. Nobody in my family eats coleslaw or hush puppies but we had to get it. The meats (ribs and pulled pork) didn’t have much flavor; sauce but no flavor. It tasted like it was made in the oven instead of on the grill or smoker. The chicken wings were not cooked all the way through although they were nice in size. The macaroni and cheese was greasy but it was ok. The coleslaw had super big chunks of cabbage (No, we didn’t eat it but I still opened it and looked at it). The baked beans weren’t sweet nor flavorful. The greens tasted like the smell of boiled grass (no flavor whatsoever). The buns and hush puppies were hard. The staff were polite and the food was ready in a...
