The owner, Tanya, is 1 of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with. My mom had a slight issue with her sandwich. It was no fault of the restaurant's. But still Tanya spoke to us personally offering everything in every way to make up for the sandwich that was not even her fault. Even though I told her it was fine, we were very satisfied with our food & the excellent service, she still insisted on knowing what she could do to make things better. Our waitress even said she is a wonderful & kind person who truly cares about her customers & employees. The food was great, the service was great, but even if it wasn't we would still go back to support Tanya. This was a 1 time family outing for dinner just bc we were in the area; but bc of Tanya we are planning to go back again for lunch! Please give them a try! You won't be disappointed! It's such a charming restaurant with caring staff & an...
Read moreI came here with my intermediate family directly after the burial of my grandfather, so we had a party of 15 give or take. We came and found the parking lot was empty, which was lucky because there weren't many spots to start with. They sat us in a side part of the house, and it was not heated very well. My aunt put her elbow down and tried to lift it back up and syrup stretched in between the table and her. Syrup was everywhere. The table was an absolute minefield, but I seemed to be the only one that minded. Food came out in average speed, and tasted normal with nothing exciting going on. Overall the service and food were fine, but just watch out for what's on your...
Read moreUnpretentious Southern dining in a lovely old historic home. The interior is more functional than pretty but you won't care one whit once you check out the menu. My sister and I went there for lunch during a mini roadtrip.
We were astonished by the prices! Both of us had a meat + two sides and a sweet tea for only $7.99 (also with the best butter drenched southern biscuits I've ever had). The food was cooked to order and delicious.
The women who work there are friendly and the cook even told me how to make her biscuits! It's very much a laid back, unpretentious place to eat. Don't let the gorgeous exterior fool you. Wear your jeans or whatever you feel comfy in, and leave some room to unbuckle that top button!
So if you feel like roadtripping to a tiny but cute town in Georgia, don't miss Bowman...
