Jumbo Asian Bistro & Bar — Restaurant in Bozrah

Our first visit since Jumbo's has opened but certainly not our last. Coming in the front door we could see the bar area to the right is still being stocked, but according to the menu opening soon. The main dining area has lots of table and booth seating, very tastefully decorated with Asian art throughout. Everything looked spotlessly clean and no hint they have just opened for business. Tables were all set with nice linen-like napkins folded to encase decent silverware engraved with the Jumbo name. Made me think they are spending the money and intend to stay! Beautiful menu with traditional American Chinese choices and straight Chinese choices. Service was quick and attentive throughout our meal. We ordered Oolong tea, pork egg rolls, Singapore Mei Fun and Chef's Special Stir Fry. Mei Fun was great, light on the heat, perfect noodles, fantastic flavor. The stir fry was loaded with steak, scallops, shrimp and perfectly cooked vegetables all in a very tasty sauce and an accompanying bowl of white rice. Jumbo Asian Bistro just opened and I am so glad we stopped by. The restaurant is welcoming and spacious with pleasant decor. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. The tasty meal was a delight in our area where few good Chinese cuisine options exist. We ordered a good combination of different flavors and we loved all of them. Among the appetizers the steamed dumplings were homemade and delicious and worth the drive alone. The pork lomein was terrific as was the pleasing seafood soup. Just the way I like it. Unexpectedly checked out Jumbo today for lunch. We had chicken with broccoli combo and General Tso combo. Both were very good. Combo came with pork fried rice and eggroll. Super friendly and fast service. Great rice, egg rolls nice and crunchy, broccoli super fresh and crunchy, both chicken dishes delicious. Nice portions - no cooking tonight!
