Part of me wants to keep Back to Captain's a well-kept secret, but it's simply too good not to share. This hidden gem offers an exceptional dining experience that's hard to match.

We started with their incredible Breakfast Skillet. Packed with perfectly cooked hashbrowns, fresh vegetables, and your choice of meats, I got the bacon. This skillet is a hearty and delicious way to begin your morning. Each bite bursts with flavor, making it an unforgettable dish. I usually have trouble finishing my plate, but I couldn't help but eat every bite of this!

My partner ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger, which is a must-try. The juicy, perfectly cooked beef patty is topped with savory mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese, all in a fresh, soft bun. It's a rich and satisfying burger that stands out from the rest. I had a bite and it was so delicious with great flavors. He got a side of fries with it as well and omgoodness, they were soooooo good!! The slight sweetness they have gave them all they needed to be an absolute delight. I could just sit and eat the fries all day long.

You can't leave without trying their renowned Bloody Mary. I'm very picky about my Bloody Mary's, and this was one of the best I've had in Minnesota so far. For me, a Bloody Mary should have flavor and not just taste like watered down vodka with a hint of tomato. They nailed this mix, it has all the flavor. Crafted with just the right amount of spice, this drink pairs perfectly with any meal.

Despite wanting to keep this spot low-key, Back to Captain's deserves to be celebrated. The friendly atmosphere, excellent service, and mouth-watering dishes make it a standout in Isanti. Plus, its on the lake, and that for me is just another highlight. Highly...

Decided to try it out for the first time since it has re opened. It was busy, so we waited patiently for over an hour for our appetizers. One app came out, and I questioned where the other app was since it had already been over an hour. Was told it would be checked on. Then a dinner salad came 10 minutes later out, but still no second app. The app and the food then came out 10 minutes later, all at the same time. I asked, the two ladiesbringingthe the food "How do you eat a meal and an app at the same time?" I was told the waitress messed up and should have stated for it to come out first. I explained that she said checked on it more than once. When looking at the receipt, it stated it was an app right on it. So, I'm not sure who was throwing who under the bus or not owning their mistake. The mistake could have and should have been handled better. Offer to take the app back, remove it from the bill etc. But nothing was owned. It was all finger-pointing. I decided to eat the app for my dinner based on what I felt could be re heated and turn out the best. And no one else wanted to share the app at that point since their food had arrived. The food was very good, the service needs improvement, and the wait was completely unacceptable. No wait staff came back to check on us after receiving our food. We had to find a server to get a to go container and our bill. It's super frustrating for spending what we spent to eat out. And to have so many issues, no owning it or apology. It may be a while...

First time there and we were not disappointed! It was packed when we got there, but we were able to snag a table right away. Service was better than we have seen at other establishments, especially for how busy it was. The food came quickly and was delicious. The band playing was great and it was obvious everyone there liked it. Definitely will be back, a hidden gem for sure! Edited: 2nd time there, only because of road construction making it difficult to get there, but now that it's completed Back to Captain's will be on our regular rotation. It's got a good vibe, everyone there makes you feel welcomed. Both times we've been there, I believe it's the owner or maybe manager, has come to our table and asked if we needed anything and how it was. I saw him around quite a bit and you don't often see that at other places. He listened while I talked with him and engaged in conversation with us, like he really was interested in what we had to say and thanked us for coming. Really stand out...
