Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Brandon Charter Township

Made it to this location about 10 minutes before 9:00pm this evening. Pulled up to the drive thru speaker and an automated voice said they were closed. All lights still on and “drive thru open” sign still on, so we pulled up to the window where we sat behind another car for about five minutes before my girlfriend went inside to see if we could order there. She was greeted by a girl with a rude attitude who said we could come in to order but the time the drive thru shuts off is not her problem. So, we parked and I went in to order. I walked through an unlocked front door and up to the counter before the same blonde haired girl said they were closed. I politely said we had been waiting at the drive thru for ten minutes and the speaker said they were closed before the time they should be. She was cleaning up, slammed her hands down on the counter in frustration, and in an unpleasant tone asked what I wanted. I ordered two chia banana boost smoothies, one no sugar added. She added the ingredients, stuck them in the blending machines only to say she was done (even though the blenders were still mixing my smoothies) and walked towards the back of the store, leaving the other two workers standing there. As she did, she shut the lights off while I stood waiting for my smoothies in the dark with two young boys who were only there for the company of the other two female workers. The four of them began to giggle and make jokes about bad reviews and being afraid of the dark. I still waited for my smoothies. Finally one of the girls remaining up front handed me my smoothies and apologized for the immature, unprofessional behavior. What happened to young kids being able to run a business with respect and decency? And where are the adults when they try to shut down a store early? Glad it’s not my business...

I LOVE coming to this location! I stopped by this morning, I usually come several times a week, and as normal I left happy. I've been to many other locations over the years and my experience with their customer service/ food accuracy was average of a normal fast food joint. But everytime I stop by here everyone is so cheerful and happy, my order is always right, and my sandwiches are always neatly made, cut, and perfectly wrapped. I at least gave 2 stars because the Smoothies were great....but customer service is lacking. When I walked in, 3 ladies were there, no one greeted me or asked "how can I help you". one girl walked up to the register but I assumed she was talking to the drive-thru. I eventually placed my order. Once the smoothies were ready the other girl just sat them on the counter. I had no idea if they were for me or another customer.
