We entered as a family of four. The hostess did not make eye contact or greet us with a hello. She simply said “do you have a reservation?” We said no and two people entered after us and she looked at them and said “I know you guys have a reservation right?” Then she proceeded to seating them. My family and I like to visit different areas to explore a variety of food. While I can reframe the situation and think, she must have known them, maybe they are local? It gives a person no right to be disrespectful. I even said “if you don’t have enough room (though the place seemed empty at the time we entered) we can go somewhere else,” she didn’t even pick up her head and make eye contact, she just went on serving others. It seemed strange. A waiter named Leslie came over and sat us and served us. She was wonderful, polite and social, so we sat and stayed. We appreciate Leslie and her service. The cook (maybe owner/unsure) came out to greet us and the kids. He was also great and polite. The hostess can really kill an atmosphere at first impression. I’m glad she didn’t take from our experience in the long run. The food was good and came out hot. We enjoyed it and would probably go again but there are many more competitive and excellent places elsewhere that serve...
Read moreI'd like to share an experience and will be upfront by saying I WAS WRONG for what I did. Not being from the area and a concert happening across the street I parked in the lot of Little Riggs because there was absolutely no parking elsewhere. I would like to add, there was no sign not to park there like other businesses had (but I knew better).
What is disturbing is that at the end of the evening, when myself and 3 girlfriends were leaving, the owner/chef came out of the restaurant with such a vengeance and began yelling at us for parking there. I apologized and admitted it was wrong of me and assured him I would never do this again but he continued and continued until I rolled up my window and left.
I understand I may have taken the spot of maybe one patron (because it was late to begin with). I would have also understood if he came out and told us to never park here again but in a calmer demeaner. If I didn't have such thick skin, I might have been afraid.
The place looked cute and I said to my friends that we should frequent there but after that display of such anger I never will. I'm sure the owner/chef is...
Read moreThe service was amazing however the food choices are very limited and the prices are outrageous for the portions- what little food is given is good but not worth the price. The up-charges are ridiculous, a change of a sausage patty to bacon on the 'hangover' came with an up-charge of ~$5 for two pieces of bacon. As well as a up-charge for the coffee- they offer $1 cups of coffee however if you were to go and just get coffee they charge an insane amount. If the coffee is $1 on the menu, it should be a dollar whether you get a sandwich with it or not. As well as charging for basic condiments like butter, if I order a muffin, butter should be complimentary.
The atmosphere is good however there are some areas that were not given thought- like an electrical outlet on the floor that you can put your chair leg through. My friend nearly fell from their chair because of it.
I enjoy going to small businesses and supporting them however this place will not last with the way the owner is treating the customers.
You should have stayed...
