Al's Down the Hatch Saloon — Restaurant in Braswell

First experience for this niche of fun tucked off. Beside a police station I feel now for a reason. LOL ( Laughing Out Loud). You meet all walks of life here. Good energy and great vibes. The drinks are nice and the people there swell. It's once the drinks get to going and the nights crowd grows the fun really kicks in. Great music places from all genres and karaoke feels like it's a must. Dance floor is open for those with or without skill. Let the music and drinks fuel your night as fun is sure to find you. S/n, ( Sidenote ), leave before they close. Some people aren't meant to drink. I personally had an epic time. Really is a welcoming place even upon entry. Have ID ready at the door, picture of it accepted on your phone. That really helps for those of us out to have a good time and keep up...

Hope y’all enjoyed the Turtle concert tonight. Brought my sister here from out of town to sing karaoke. Put our names in an hour and a half before closing, but Turtle skipped everyone but his friends, and he sang most of the songs himself. Never been to a karaoke where the host sings most of the night. He told us three times we were “next” and then put another friend on to sing a sad song we all wanted to die to. 0/0 would not recommend. Would use expletives to describe the bull** experience if I didn’t think it would get blocked....

We have always had great experiences and food when we come.

I didn’t give five stars because the past couple of times we’ve come they told us the wait time would be 1.5 - 2 hours and we waited 30 mins.

Another time we decided just to sit at the bar and noticed the place was almost empty in 45 mins. So it seems maybe they don’t like having a lot of guests so they quote crazy wait times so people leave? Seems off but it’s happens the past two...
