Food is great, prices are fair. Service seems to be slow and chaotic at times. Staff is friendly, but you may wait a lot. Highly recommend, but don't come with any other pressing plans on your schedule. The silver lining is that the phone/data service is bad, so you'll have to slow down and "embrace the pace." You may even find out that your breakfast companions have interesting things to say. Chances are you'll end up in a regular old fashioned conversation; no texts, no emojis, no gifs. Completing a sentence and a thought without a cell phone dinging is rather odd in this day and age. But I think you'll like it after you get over the anxiety that you may miss the latest Tweet or friend's Instagram post.
I recommend their scramblers and fluffy omelettes. While others in our group loved the ginormous pancakes and French toast. Weekend buffet is also a great option. Biscuits & gravy, oh 😋😋😋 ; 'nuf said. The quality and price make for a value that will put a smile on your face as well.
When you're done eating, take a look around and then go across the street to the 'Rentown Mall' as I like to call it. Sort of an Amish Wal-Mart experience. (If you're a tourist, try not to be an annoying one that is taking pictures of every buggy and bicycle and Amish person you see. How would you like someone showing up in your neighborhood, pointing at you, and snapping pictures of your every move? Weird, huh?!? 😉🙂)
Slow down and...
Read moreI still cant believe our meal yesterday September 11, 2020, my Mom and me split a deluxe hamburger, Which was very good except for the pickles and we realized later we got no cheese on it and we should Have! We substituted the fries for Amish potato salad, that was so horrible , we sent it back for the fries Which were good. We ordered 1 piece of blueberry pie, it had to be the worst pie i ever tasted, the filling was horrid. Our bill was alot for 1 order i thought since most of it was bad but we paid and when they ask how Was everything, i said not so good. I said no Amish could of made that potato salad, it was like cubed hard Potatoes with salad dressing on, i never tasted onions or celery, just plain awful, i didn't even say anything About the horrible Blueberry pie, we ate it but it was nasty, worst pie i ever tasted in my life. Our bill was Over$15 for 1 meal that we split, we ordered no drinks. I don't mind paying for good food but several things We ordered were bad, i can't comment on anything else there but i doubt we would ever go back. Their Breakfast items sounded good but driving that far it was disappointing for us. People were eating outside and there were a ton of bees swarming on them, unbelievable! Such a nice day didn't turn out so good for us. Pretty country over there in Bremen and always love to...
Read moreI did not mind waiting 30 minutes to be seated, but after placing my order immediately after being seated for a simple Tuna salad on a croissant. I was first of all given a watered down soda. 2nd it took 45 minutes before receiving my simple lunch request. My waitress had to be flagged down after 30 minutes of wait time to be asked where was my lunch. I had several staff members pass my table and not one of them offered to see if I needed anything. I have been coming to this little restaurant for several years and never and I do mean never have I experienced so poor customer service. When I asked my waitress if she could see what the hold up was it was almost like she was afraid to approach the kitchen in fears she would be punished on the spot. I am not quite sure what is going on at the place but today it has a Failing grade. As I sat at my table so many other customers were complaing about the service or the quality of the food and how it has quite become very disappointing....I don't know who actually runs this place but they obviously have alot of work to do to get it back k up to shape. I will not be recommending this establishment in my Review of local restaurants as I feel my readers deserve the quality of service and the quality of food that is to...
