Digger's Diner Brentwood — Restaurant in Brentwood

Went with my neice and she was so excited to try this place. I've been going for years. It's been a while since I've been there to sit and dine in. Our waitress was awesome and so kind she is literally worth a bunch more! It's rare these days to actually have a really nice waitress but she was amazing! I am writing this review however because I was so so so thrown off by my order... I got a mushroom Swiss burger. When she gave it to me obviously I said thank you and when she walked away I started preparing to eat it but right away noticed the Swiss cheese was pale orange and no holes. So I let the waitress know I think they added the wrong cheese. She said a lot of people have been saying tha but the Swiss they have is pale orange no holes. She grabbed me a slice of peolperjack and I proceeded to taste a mushroom. It was super fishy tasting and I tried to just take all the mushrooms off but the burger still smelled funky because of the mushrooms. I told her I would like to order something else and I didn't mind still paying I just thought maybe the mushrooms expired or something. I did look up both fishy mushrooms and pale orange Swiss. Both exist. There is in fact pale orange Swiss but Google said it still has holes usually, and there are oyster mushrooms that smell fishy. Again the waitress was wonderful and I really felt bad for not eating the food they gave me I just couldn't. I appreciate them letting me order something else and taking the original order off my tab.. I would have paid I just really was so thrown off by the whole thing. 3.0 star rating 4/10/2016 1 check-in Average with a touch of ick. Starting with the ick: Cleanliness - this place doen't seem to have it. The table was sticky and still had bits of lettuce and some other food stuffs on it after the very quick wipe. The bench seats had some food as well and I found myself having to brush crumbs off my rump after finishing my meal.

My son wanted the Oreo pancakes, but despite them being on the menu and the statement that they provide breakfast all day it turns out that doesn't include pancakes, those are only until noon (we were there between 12:30~1). So my son had the large cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting. It arrived cold and tasted like a larger version of the one you get from vending machines. If it had at least been delivered warm it would have been better.

I had the Incinerator, which was a fairly good sandwich. The meat was tough and even thought it's advertised as being served with "grilled jalapenos" they were warm but didn't have any of the flavor or texture of something that had been grilled.

My wife had a very average grilled chicken sandwich, her comment is "it was okay".

Absolutely a SCAM of a restaurant! They must be going out of business, when this place opened the food was excellent as well as the customer service. I called an order to go. I received cold food, which is understandable when getting take out. The fresh cup of fruit is mistaken - I absolutely hate honey dew and these circus clowns put all honey dew when there menu states oranges, cantelope, grapes, pineapple, and honey dew. The toast - I guess the cook got mad because they burned it which would be the cooks fault I'm paying the restaurant to have good food. So they put one piece of burnt toast and 3 raw like it just came out of the bag, not toasted. Such a shame and disappointment. The food was disgusting, I would never recommend this place to anyone ever! AVOID AT ALL COSTS and save yourself...
