Oskar Blues Brewery Taproom — Restaurant in Brevard

Looks great and inviting from the outside, but customer service needs some work. We drove a motorhome from Minnesota and were so excited to be here. Wanted a flight of beer to sample as many styles of beer as we could. Downstairs we were told we could only get flights upstairs in the tap room. So, up the stairs we go. When we stopped at the bar to get a flight they only have a limited selection of beer upstairs. She said that I could get a beer downstairs and she would give me an empty glass on my flight so I could get the bartender downstairs to fill it. WHAT!?!?! When I asked what beets were downstairs that she did not have upstairs, she said "look at the website". Not much help! I had very little cell service inside the building. So I just chose from the limited selection upstairs and pouted as I drank them outside and saw all the wonderful beer I missed. NOTE: the website did NOT match what was listed on the wall of available taps. Not worth the trip for me!! Total...

My husband and I went for a ride out to Oscar Blues during the week when we were in Asheville on vacation. We had visited the Oscar Blues in Denver before and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I think the new taproom in Brevard needs some work. We arrived shortly after the taproom opened and were probably one of the very first few people served when they opened. We ordered a flight of the beers and all of them were room temperature and flat. My husband and I were shocked and couldn't understand why we would have had great beers in Denver and such poor ones in Brevard. After leaving incredibly disappointed at the poor quality of the beer and regretting the drive, I realized why the beers were so bad. Because we were some of the first people at the taproom, they had not run the lines out from the night before and we were served beer that had been sitting in them overnight which is a BIG NO-NO. I have been a long time Oskar Blues fan since 1997 when I lived in Colorado. I was at opening day in Lyons and Oskar Blues was a barbeque restaurant don't even think Dale was brewing yet!

The team behind the taps in Brevard is great!! (FIVE STARS).

The ChubbWagon isn't great. I politely waited 65 minutes for my food.

On the third inquiry about my food, they figured out that someone else took my order and gave me the other person's food order (two burgers and a large fry). It was sitting in the sun (90 degrees) for 40 minutes. Soggy fries and two wet burger sfor $35.00.

Come on guys!! I realize things happen but would it be so difficult to say: "give us two minutes to grab you new burgers from the grill with some fries" and throw the other one in the trash.

Perhaps - it's time for someone to replace Mathieu from inside the food truck.

P.S. - My neighbor was here a month ago and waited 80 minutes...
