Great hardworking and kind staff, however what must be honestly said is it is not the most clean of an environment inside, mainly the floor and unrenovated wash rooms and cloths used to wipe the tables. They do have an issue of mishandling to go food orders from items found occasionally cold, missing or wrong orders, inconsistent, even when the menu is not and quite standard for "Mexican" in such a place. Concerning the food served, not worth the price in the least nor your tips, except for their genuine service especially in a rural small town. Not an excuse for the low quality and bland food from beans that taste canned, tortillas that are papery not buttery, drinks that taste of instant powders, the grilled meats are half decent yet can be burnt occasionally and more or less everything has a tinge of excess grease. Their hottest salsa is hot for the non white customers yet salty and the only half decent single dish is the menudo yet the cow honeycomb tripe is severely overcooked to mush and is made fresh on non disclosed days, therefore most order of the menudo are likely reheated from one day to perhaps 1 week old. Several large companies in the county pay for them to cater to clients when last minute instead of a finer cuisine like a French caterer or fresh Japanese sushi flown in or from/through via Seattle is not an available option. This place has had unbeknownst to them served wealthy Japanese and European company's executives who have had food sickness. Not because of bacterial contamination yet from the poor quality of the dishes served, nothing is truly authentic. All is what is safe to white American's demographic tastes and what is easy and practical and profitable for them. A hypocrisy to the Mexican community in the town of...
Read moreI had gone to Camperos for my Mothers birthday and it was full of disappointing things. I had ordered a soup, that was so salty it was not edible, they prepared food with bare hands that I saw through the kitchen doors, my soup had to have been microwaved because elements of the soup were hot and others were cold. To think that you would go in and spend so much money for such awful food was a disappointment. One person did try and correct things a bit by offering another food choice but I could not after that soup and my mom did not like it either. They supposedly did not charge us for those items but our bill was so high for very literally taking things off our check, which I think could have been changed to really try and bring us back again. Efforts were poor for us to provide us with great customer service and again below standard food, even food safety standards. I would advise not going there or honestly trying anywhere else because the taco wagons and any other place in brewster honestly does so much better and take more pride in the food and service...
Read moreWent here with my husband and my 1 year old. We walked in and asked for a high chair, a man told me he’d grab it for us but we waited almost 10 minutes so I asked someone else. We were sat right next to the kitchen door and the bathroom door so it felt like we had no privacy. The lady who served us was nice but I’m not sure if she got our order wrong or the kitchen did. My husband and I got what we ordered but they were out of beans so they just gave us an excessive amount of rice and it was very dry and tasted like carrots.. I ordered a kids chicken burrito for my son and he got beef which was disappointing because he doesn’t like beef. The server asked if I’d like a small plate because his was really hot so I said yes and she came back with a plate that had old food all over it. This place was just really dirty...
