Huddle House — Restaurant in Brewton

Was excited about the store reopening and first couple visits weren’t bad probably because I ordered take out. First eat in meal was fair and service was good. Second visit our waitress got attitude because I asked her why my husband’s breakfast meal didn’t have toast. Her response was “ he didn’t order it”. Toast is standard with breakfast. Or so I thought. Instead of saying she would love to get him some toast, she instead stomped off and had a different server be our waitress. By that time it was too late. We were upset. We just didn’t go in for awhile and decided one night to give it a try for supper instead of breakfast. Thinking maybe different part of day maybe different wait staff. Visit was good, food was well prepared. Service was good due to fact the server recognized us from the horrible visit we had prior. So, tonight we get there get us a table and we wait and wait. Not a single server acknowledges we were there. One server went past us four times. Another server walked past us or near us two times. Ten minutes goes by without acknowledgement, no menus, no drink order, no hello, no “I will be with you in a moment,”, nothing. They were not that busy. So that could not have been an excuse. The good- the waitress was friendly and responsive. She kept our drinks full! Quick service time from order to table. The grilled toast was fantastic! The egg whites were cooked correctly and served hot.

The bad- the door was open so we were surrounded by flies when our food was delivered. The chicken tenders were rock solid. The turkey sausage was grainy and gooey ( not a good sausage texture). The overall discussion after we ate- it was the worst meal we have ever had.

The building- the ac was not on and doors were propped open- flies were all over us once our food was delivered. The bathrooms were in need of a pressure washing!!!!!!! Do yourself a favor and keep driving...

I stopped in one twilight evening, tired and hungry; the waitress greeted me with a smile. She allowed me ample time to decide wh@ to order. The meal prepared almost to perfection. Both Cook and Waitress were hospitable and very attentive to the service of the customer. 👌 So I return the following evening; as I walk in I find the waitress restocking the tables and the cook, (I want to call him Chef) is @ the grill, then suddenly, almost simultaneously they greet me like some kinda VIP or something.
