Went for our third time to eat some wings. Due to Covid19 they have things spread out which is good and following required guidelines. We came with a party of 9 but were told only six people could sit together. None of the tables were close but there was a party at one table with ten sitting beside the patio (maybe regulars or friends??). We sat on the patio to where we could see our other guests and my wife asked if we could move in doors, where there was a six person table and large open space. Asked if a two person table with height chair could be six feet apart in that open space. Waitress said, “yeah, I don’t see why not.” Wife put the small table and chairs over there six feet apart in the open space and some angry male manager flew in from outside and went crazy. He was setting up the outdoor stage and did not know his staff just told my wife it was okay. He was sweating and then started yelling like a mad man while my wife was standing there and I was holding my two year old. My wife explained we were just told it was okay but you could tell the poor young waitress was not going to speak up in this now awkward environment. He drug the chairs and slammed the table back over in a corner while mumbling to himself. Totally understand the state guidelines and license issues - it’s called communication and talking with others not freaking out. People understand simple things but when your staff says yes to something and then a manager freaks out it is uncalled for. We then sat back outside and just yelled across to our guests. The whole time sitting outside watched the party of ten sitting not far away continue to the same manager setting things up but had nothing to say to that group? Why different standards?
Food: this is the second time we asked for “non smoked” wings that are advertised on the menu and both guests (my aunt and I) tasted the same heavy smoked flavor. It over powers whatever sauce you get. It Almost tastes like they add liquid smoke (but I don’t know for sure). Service: My uncle laughed as it was at capacity (which was 25%) but drinks and food took forever. Maybe it is best to setup for that venue before or after hours and ensure there is enough staff for the 25% (maybe best that manager stayed outside so he did not freak out on his staff like he did the guests). Well...that’s three times we have not been impressed. Each time it was parties of 8-10 people and now we will just stuck to somewhere in Danville for our weekly outing since we came 25-30 mins away to try to support local businesses. Only giving a three star because the staff (waitresses) were super nice....otherwise it...
Read moreI am ashamed of myself. This place has been around since 2015 and this is my first time here. I was here on a not-so-busy Tuesday, just about to turn around and head back north with my sunburn and sweat brought on by our 90° heat. I love it but there are setbacks! I had been to other places in the vicinity on the way to or from the Bloomsburg fair, and I've been waiting for the right opportunity to check this place out. Does it qualify as a "biker bar?" Absolutely. Could you bring your kids? Again, absolutely! I'm sure it could get very busy on nights with events, but it was very enjoyable there. Nice cold AC inside, or the patio to enjoy outside... I tried an orange crush, supposed to be their thing. Pretty good, they squeeze the oranges, but I need something other than vodka. The menu is impressive on its own. Tuesday is slider night, $2 each. Tried the burnt ends, very tasty. The kicker? Those stuffed jalapeños! Brisket and cheese inside, wrapped in bacon, and bathed in sweet chili sauce... I could have used a little sour cream to cool them down though! I felt like I needed to sample something else, but I was doubting my ability to fit any more food, so I got a side of broccoli salad to go. Loved it. Mayo based, not too sloppy. Little cheese shreds and some diced bacon in there, I could eat that practically every day. Service was great too, the bartenders are attentive. I have a request though... can anyone get some of their regular t shirts in a color other than black? I'd gladly take one, but I have SO many black already! Can't wait to come back and try wings, wing dip, crab cakes, fries with all the fixins, nachos.... (voice...
Read moreLove this place. The boyfriend and I have been going fairly regularly for a month and a half and we try their signature Crush drinks. They have orange, lemon, grapefruit, strawberry, peach, blueberry and possibly another flavor. I had the grapefruit last night and that is, hands down, my favorite. One is enough for us since we don't drink much at all, and it is enough to give us a nice buzz. They have a selection of loaded fries, and quite frankly, I would have never thought to put pulled pork on French fries, but there is something incredibly magical about it. It is my favorite item on their menu, their pulled pork is phenomenal. Another favorite is the Mac and Cheese Burger. It is comfort food to the max and leaves you feeling full and content. So far we really enjoy the atmosphere and staff who have all been really friendly and attentive. There is not one thing I could complain about and because of this, it's now our go to when we want to go out to eat. We got to discover the place together, he had never been and I'm not from the area, so it has converted both of us into believers. I would recommend the place to all my friends and family. The place is clean and nicely done and the food and drink just adds to the experience overall. They have an outdoor seating area, live music in the summer, and a nice property over all. So because of these things, the great service, the excellent food and drink, and the nice atmosphere, it gets 5 stars and a recommendation from me for anyone who needs a good place to make their regular go to. Keep up...
