been coming here for years with my family and I most likely wonât be coming back which is unfortunate because I live a block away and love this place. my server, the tall blonde lady bartender with glasses, was so rude for no reason. I couldnât even order or talk without her cutting me off. She cut me off and literally put her hand up in my face and said something along the lines of âI wasnât talking to youâ again FOR NO REASON while I was trying to say something for my friend because my friend was confused. It wasnât even busy but all the women at the bar including the random two women sitting next to me all sat there miserably because from the looks of it, no one was being helped except for the men that mustâve been regulars. I'm just honestly shocked at how rude she was. Iâm a server as well and always am respectful to whoever is serving me. There was no reason for her to be as rude as she was and honestly I left upset. Iâve been here so many times and all the other servers are nice but itâs not even worth coming back seeing as they only care about their regulars. The food is mediocre and the chicken parm is literally chicken tenders with sauce and cheese that I shouldâve just made at my house. At least then I wouldnât deal with rude people for no reason or the creepy men that are surrounding their bar all of the time. I ordered a âchicken parm with friesâ you would think that they would know I meant a sandwich but they served it to me without bread. When I asked for bread, my server literally called me weird when she didnât think I could hear her. I mean how is asking for the bread that is supposed to come with the chicken parm sandwich weird? Maybe if she had let me speak and didnât CUT ME OFF literally putting her hand in my face and then running away and not coming back to check up on us for an hour, my order wouldâve been right in the first place. It honestly felt degrading and degrading to WOMEN that only men were cared about in general. I think as women we should all not go here because of how disgusting the whole...
Read moreUnfortunately we didnt have the best experience here tonight. We walked in, sat down, and we were not greeted with any type of welcome and when we saw the bartender (who frankly seemed annoyed to have seen us come in) we said âdo you have espresso martinis?â she said ânope. what else do you want?â One of our crew asked âwell what coffee drinks do you have?â and she said âcoffee.â in a very snarky attitude. - I said,â well can you make a drink with coffee then please?â And it proceeded into a debate and push back about how coffee is different from espressoâŚ.I have never had to debate a bartender before being served my first drink! Her attitude was completely rude and dismissive - and to be frank itâs very disheartening to see the two military veterans and local police officer I was with be treated like such trash when they give so much to the community. The other bartender also complained about the tip that was left - yet it reflected the service given by both. We have family members in the service industry and are compassionate to the stresses and issues they have to face, but the treatment we received here was absolutely abhorrent. We have friends that live in the area that said this would be their local bar, except the bartenders are mean. Hopefully the service will get better for those that live in...
Read moreWe went for dinner this evening to the Mantoloking Road Alehouse. It was our first time returning since Covid. The food was not good,it was EXCELLENT!!! We started with the potatoes skins. They were done to perfection. The the mussels marinara arrived. Better than most upscale Italian restaurants. The mussels were small and tender and the marinara sauce was outstanding. My husband and I split the French Dip. Delisssshious! Our waiter, Evan was upbeat friendly and attentive. The Alehouse was crowded, but the facility is large enough that you didn't feel crowded. There was a mixed crowd which made the experience comfortable. We asked Evan our waiter if we could see the owner, and he came promptly to our table. You couldn't ask for a more enjoyable evening. I highly recommend you try the Mantoloking Road Alehouse. It will become part of your "go to" list. My compliments to Abel, the Chef. He had a huge crowd to feed this evening and did each plate to perfection. Thank you Mantoloking Road Alehouse for making our neighborhood an even better place to live. Your Pop...
