The New Pompeii — Restaurant in Bridgeport Charter Township

Almost hate to Write this review, but I felt that I must. I was introduced to the New Pompeii take out by a co-worker. I've had several salads from them, as take out over the past 8 months. They were big portions, with 4 cups of dressing of your choosing all in a take out Styrofoam container with napkins and plastic fork to eat with, The salad has been slowly declining, with 1 less dressing and and made not as well. told myself i probably wouldn't go back anytime soon. Well it's been a couple of months and a salad sounded good today so i ordered 2 Salads, one for me and one for a co-worker. order taker said give us till 11:30, it was 10:35 when i ordered, I picked up my order and went back to work. received 1 2 .oz cup of dressing for both Salads, no Plastic fork and no napkins, Salad is nowhere as good as they initially were when we started going there, . Pretty sure i won't be going back...

I really wanted to like this resturaunt but it fell short of my expectations. The menu was well thought out and included a large variety. However after ordering the food, I got mottzarella sticks and an Italian sub, I soon realized the prices were very reasonable due to the resturaunt using the cheapest ingredients. The cheese in the mottzarella sticks was very soft and didn't stretch. The marinara was good but served straight from the fridge.  The Italian sub was the worst offender, using the least and cheapest ingredients to call it an Italian sub. Deli sliced ham and pizza sized pepperoni was the meat selection. Add large shred lettuce and small tomato slices. It sure didn't taste like provolone and very light on the Italian dressing. I admit the bread was very good. Would have been a great sub with the right fill. The waitress took a while to warm up but was attentive and made sure...

We sat there for half an hour waiting for them to make two sandwiches a thing of fries and a thing of onion rings. We were the only customers although they were preparing a pizza for somebody that came in and picked it up and they were preparing a pizza for us to take. The table was dirty, the fries were a little on the greasy side but the onion rings were delicious... The BLT was average. My sandwich which was an Italian was homemade and pretty good. Unfortunately the pizza that we ordered to take with this ( we did not look at it ) was a barbecue Pizza which at $20 would be a very good price for a large except for the fact that the entire outer side of it was...
