I ordered enchilladas and it didnt taste like it was what i ordered. The food had no taste. and the sauce was watery. i was disappointed in the food this time that i went to eat. for 41$ it was not worth it all. the only thing that was good from my plate was the rice. the beans tasted like they were made days ago as well. and i only ate some of the food because it was expensive

Food was pretty good. I can taste everything was fresh from the meat to the rice. My only issue was the price. A drink and a Carne Asada platter came out to 23$. Considering the many options available for Mexican food in the area this price is 5-10$ more than any of the other stores.

Service was quick and friendly, staff speaks both English and Spanish, and area was clean and efficient. My friend and I got the chicken tacos and quesabirra tacos, and we were both satisfied with the taste, temperature, and portion size of the our plates. The table was served with complementary chips and salsa, and our drinks were fairly cheap (we got agua fresca). We took are time and stayed in there a while, and even when the establishment got busy, our waiter took the time to check on us multiple times. Afterwards while paying the bill, I decided to get another drink that they didn’t have already prepared, and right there on the spot the back kitchen took the time to make the drink for me. On our way out the waiter (manager I would assume also) thanked us for staying and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and to know he was appreciative of our service. Overall, the food is cheap in comparison to some Mexican food in the area, the staff was VERY polite and went out of their way to make sure you were satisfied, and the food and drinks were pretty good too! Would definitely call it authentic if that’s something you’re looking for. The birra was really good, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to try El Comal. Overall, great dining experience for the...

There are no "frills"--as basic as a restaurant gets: a couple booths and a reach-in refrigerator to grab something cold to drink with your to-go order.

The birria is OUTSTANDING and available daily--most places offer it one day a week IF you're lucky. The meat is nice and lean, too--not chewy or full of gristle.

If you're looking for some solid authentic Mexican food, look no further--but, if ambience is a deal breaker for you, better make that a...

Best Mexican restaurant in bridgeton! Food is amazing and fresh. Birria tacos are amazing and the broth they serve with it is so flavorful. The mango drink they sell is really good also. Staff is very nice and helpful. One day, I ordered a mango drink and they accidentally gave me a different drink. I went back and they remade my drink and gave me an extra one as well. Such a nice place with terrific food! Worth...
