Pasquaney Restaurant SAL'S Birch Bar — Restaurant in Bridgewater

Just had a horrible experience at this rooftop bar and we will never be returning. My entire family and I walked up from the place we were staying on a beautiful evening, excited to see the new bar. As soon as we step foot onto the patio the bartender lady looks at us and says In a rude tone “there’s no room for you guys tonight and walks away”. Very surprising welcome to a place we were excited to visit. We point out the one table that was open as well as the side area with three barstools and we ask if we can sit and the rest of us can stand up. She says “I guess if you want” and throws her hands up like we were all doing her a disservice for giving them business. We decided to stay and give it a shot. We sat and waited patiently for about 20 minutes before I went up to the bar and just asked if I could order some drinks from the bar or get a menu since we didn’t know if they served the tables. She said “hey you don’t order drinks up here, the waiter will go over to serve you”. Mind you her tone was just extremely rude and unwelcoming the entire time when I was just asking a question. They also seemed to be extremely understaffed as there was 1 bartender and like two 18 year old bar backs for a beautiful Friday night in the peak of summer and a full patio. So it’s not all the bartenders fault. So we went back to the seats and waited another 15 minutes and by that point we were fed up and just wanted a drink so we all walked out. On our way out my sister who has a baby had to get her stroller through the door, as we helped her through the door the bartender said “can you move out of the way for the food coming through”. I couldn’t believe this. I understand if you are short staffed and stressed out but to treat people like that as soon as they get into your restaurant...

Stuffed scallops were soooo over cooked and possibly frozen? Crab stuffing had way too much sherry (at least what I think I was tasting???) also the crab was limited and there weren’t any real clumps of crab… Others with me said their food was very bland and used the salt heavily! Service was slow but it was also busy. I can tell you NO ONE was standing around doing nothing and everyone worked well together to help which was really nice to see!!!
