Coffee Beanery Brighton — Restaurant in Brighton Charter Township

I think I've driven by this place a couple thousand times, and for whatever reason, never bothered to stop in until a few days ago. To be completely honest, I'm a little irritated that I waited so long to give this place a try, especially when I've been waiting in thirty minute long drive thru lines at another place in town (I'm sure you might be able to guess what place I'm referring to). This place even has a drive thru which is part of the reason I finally pulled to trigger to stop here real quick while I was out (I hate getting out of the car to order, especially when it's cold).

That being said, chain or not, this might be one of Brighton's best kept coffee secrets. Or maybe I'm crazy, hopped up on espresso, and have no clue what I'm talking about, I guess that's for you to decide. I also must say that I have only ever used the drive thru here, so I really couldn't tell you about any of the happenings inside of this location. There is a small parking lot though just in case waiting in the drive thru isn't your thing.

This place is situated on a very busy corner, at a very busy intersection, so it is really kind of shocking to me that it's not regularly way busier than it is, but I am also appreciative of that fact. The few times that I have been here now, were during off peak times like mid morning and early afternoon, so that could also be part of the reason I've never encountered a wait. I'm sure there is a some sort of early morning rush like there is at all coffee shops.

Because of how this place is situated, it may seem like a real pain to get in and out of, but fortunately for you and everyone else, there are two ways in, and two ways out. This makes it much easier on everyone. Another thing that makes it much easier on everyone is the friendliness of the employees. Everyone that I've dealt with here is friendly and professional, and have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with. They're also extremely efficient as it only took a very short period of time for me to get my order. My order has also been correct every time, which is seemingly better odds than many other coffee joints I've been to.

If you're a casual coffee drinker, this probably isn't going to mean a whole lot to you. That being said, not all coffee (specifically espresso) is created equal. I've found the espresso here to be perfectly suitable for things like lattes, or in my case iced lattes. That's all I've ordered from here, so that's really all I can speak of, but based upon that, I wouldn't hesitate or order other things off of the menu.

When all is said and done, I am glad that I finally stopped here, and plan to return again very soon. If you've been thinking about giving this place a try, I would say that it's about time for...

Became friends with the owner, Jason, over our shared Filipino heritage. Him and his family kindly hosted a book signing event for a friend of mine. Fantastic hospitality and service. Very spacious for a coffee shop with lots of seatings and natural lights due to large windows. Drive through coffee is a huge bonus for getting coffee on the go. They serve delicious hand crafted coffees and teas and have a food menu as well. For a remote worker like myself, this is a great place to put in a few hours of work where food, drinks, plenty of seatings and outlets are available. Amazing Coffee Shop with Incredible Options!

I’m visiting from Nebraska and stumbled upon The Coffee Beanery—what a gem! Not only did I get to enjoy a delicious latte, but I was also blown away by their selection of retail coffee beans. They have every flavor you could imagine!

The staff was incredibly welcoming, and I even got to sample a few of the daily featured flavors, which was such a nice touch. The owner was there serving customers, and her kindness and friendly demeanor truly made the experience memorable.
