Big Daddy's — Restaurant in Brighton

Visited for the first time today, saw this place on google and wanted to check it out.

Service: The service was good. The staff was upfront about the long wait and was polite and nice despite being pretty busy. The wait for food wound up being about 40-45 minutes and I understood and was ok with that as I wanted to try it. Definitely recommend calling your order in though.

Food: I wanted to play it safe so I ordered their #3, the double with fries and a drink. They aren’t lying about the burgers being huge. I could barely eat half of it.

As for the taste:

The fries were fresh and crispy. Unfortunately they were bland and could have benefited from a bit of salt or some sort of seasoning. Even with ketchup they were plain. If you want an example, think of frozen steak fries without seasoning. However, I do not think their fries are frozen. Just an example of the taste and texture.

The burger was massive. Two large patties with lettuce, pickle, mustard and ketchup on the bottom patty and bacon and cheese on the top patty nestled between two large buns. However, the sheer size of the meat patties makes them suffer from the same issue as the fries: no seasoning. Just tastes like beef with ketchup and mustard on it and some cheese. This was by no means a terrible burger, it was just “okay”.

The drinks are fountain drinks, par for the course on that regard.

Overall it was good, but was it “16 dollars and 45 minute wait” good? No. I don’t think I’ll return...

Lots of hype surrounding this place! I was pretty stoked to be in the area to try it.

First of all if you are on a time constraint I recommend calling ahead. Wait times can be as much as 30 minutes. It'd be smart to ask how long the wait is before ordering. Especially if you have a larger order. I walked up and ordered a combo. It took some time. Obviously there where orders in front of mine and it wasn't a big deal. I hung in there paitiently.

If you do call ahead make sure to walk up and tell them you're there. They will NOT call your order out if they don't know you're there. So go up and pay! I waited an extra 20 minutes because I thought they'd call my name. Dont be me!

I think it took probably 15 or so minutes. I opted for the regular sized Double Bacon cheese burger with all their fixin's. The food was hot and fresh as to be expected. I really enjoyed the burger and the fries. I felt like the burger needed 2 pieces of cheese so I'll probably ask for that next time. My only real con was the burger was cooked to death and more on the dry side.

Over all would eat there again and...

I've really liked this place up until recently. My guess is that they are having the same staffing issues as everyone else.... they might be better off not staying open for awhile vs the terrible service. Myself and two co-workers ordered foid there today and to say everything about the order (except the fried zucchini) was sub-standard is an understatement.

We ordered two Big Daddy Cheeseburger combos. One with zucchini subbed in for fries. We also ordered one of the regular cheeseburgers. What we got was one Big Daddy Cheeseburger with no cheese. Two orders overdone stale fries and the one regular cheeseburger. The staff person who went and picked up the food went back to make the order right. When she got back she handed us a baggie with three pieces of American cheese... the same old cold burger that came in the 1st order and another Big Daddy Cheeseburger WITH NO CHEESE!. The bund on both burgers were also old and stale.

Super disappointed. Won't be back and would never recommend this place to...
