Well where do I start, first, you are welcomed at the door, not only with a smile and a greeting, but a smell of fresh home cooked meals. The food there is devine, with changes daily, so you don't get bored, however, everything I have tried from the seafood lasagna to the liver and onions take me back to a place of love and warming childhood memories. The sides are absolutely to try, especially the cream corn, oh, the cream corn. Then comes the wonderful selection of home made deserts, a variety of cakes to peach cobbler. There are always three things that make a restaurant for me, and yes this is weird, but its the atmosphere, the food, and then... the bathroom... I have never been to a small home cooked establishment that paid special attention to theirs bathrooms, but they did here. I dont feel like I'm at a gas station when needing to use the facilities, it is very nicely decorated and very clean. Yes, I said weird, but its something to be said about the thought process. I pass by here all of the time. Well I decided to finally go Sunday after hearing about the Turkey Wings, however, when I got there the Baked Chicken looked so good!!! And it was delicious and flavorful! I'm not big on vegetables, but the cabbage so so good & so were the yams. Everything I had was amazing! My husband had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, & yams. He loved all of his food as well. If we didn't live so far away, I would have gone back to get some more cabbage(really everything 😂).

Also, the customer service was awesome. Being that it was Sunday after church, there was a crowd. But the owner, Mrs. Bre, was so welcoming & made sure everyone was as comfortable as possible while waiting by offering bottles of water & seats. She verbally told all present how much she appreciated our business. That spoke volumes because many times business owners don't show concern about their patrons not appreciation.
