1 star because they're so friendly. The food is FAR from home made! Their prices are ridiculously high for the instant/pre-made and reheated or fried entrees. This place used to be amazing, but in the past few years the quality has gone down and the prices have gone astronomically up. I recently ordered 2 baked potatoes and a chef salad-no drinks ,no sides and my total was $27. The online menu is clearly outdated because according to those prices my order should have totaled $16. I was already on the brink of no longer returning due to the fact that the prior order we made (which was almost a year ago) both our entrees were so undercooked they were inedible. I really hate it's gotten this bad. It was a staple in my childhood and the folks there are still just as nice but , the inflation in prices and quality of food do not coincide. As much as I hate to say it,they've officially forever lost...

I sat there for 10 min's & then someone came& took drink order, then after 5-10 mins, someone wants food order,i tell them i want unsweet tea, placed food order, wanted pork chops & veggies, sat there for 15 mins& girl comes out and says my chicken should be out soon as she was taking food to another table& as she walked by , i ask what did you say, she said your chicken should be out soon, i told her i did not order chicken, i ordered pork chops& she said the food truck just got there, i ask her for the ticket 4 my drink& left!!! I wasted 30-40 minutes of my life 4 nothing!!!! If kitchen is outta food, let staff know!!😁🤣 if you want really good home cooking, visit Slingshot Charlies in Arlington, gr food& staff, it is worth the drive , you will not be sorry & Wells will be...

Been here a few times, always been happy...today was first dinner meal and was very happy with the Catfish. Great portions, served hot and quickly. Only a couple concerns-lack of attention from our server, ie appetizer came and had to ask for plates, catfish came and had to ask for tarter sauce, no drink refills. And a lack of safe health practices from the lone dining room "buser". Cleared dirty dishes, handled drink glasses, wiped hands on her face, brought "take-home" boxes, picked used napkin off floor, touched her mouth...all without washing her hands. I know it's a learning environment, but cross-contamination is very real...for her as well as for customer. Yes, Fri nights are busy, she worked hard, but needs to do so safely especially in front...

Brighton, Tn downtown delight! Our company has been doing some roofing work in that area and we were told of this place. Very hometown cute with a friendly staff. The specials are written on an old fashion chalkboard but there's also a menu as well. There are open for lunch till two, the opens back up at four for dinner! I had the Taco salad with a side of green fried tomatoes ( I couldn't resist) Keith had the pork chips with fried green bean & mac n cheese. We added a lemon & chocolate pie to go for later this evening. Very clean, bathrooms are small but clean (note not handicap accessible). Plenty of parking and lots of hometown goodness. Located in the old downtown district of Brighton, Tn. It's about one mile off of hwy 51 and worth the detour.

If you are looking for homebcooked meal, you've come to the right place! Went in for lunch today and really enjoyed it. I ordered a BLT with a side of sweet potato casserole. I enjoyed every bite! My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and also said that it was very good. Our nephew had the hamburger steak and fries. Also good. Our service was great and and I thought the price was fair. Now, the only I could say is that if you want crispy bacon, you might want to mention that to your server. They have amazing desserts as well, including fried pies. This place definitely gets my seal of approval and we will return!

Nice place. Away from the hustle and bustle. Good food and great service. I was waited on by one of the owners. I looked around and saw what others were eating today and Porch Chops were the big thing today. I got mine in sandwich form. Never thought I’d be bragging about a porch chop sandwich but here I am. Almost like a Memphis bbq, you have to eat your way around the outside first. Followed that with some coconut pie and it was a wonderful lunch. Enjoy.
